Oh, you've changed the starting times for the first and last game. Got it. While this would improve ratings for each game the early and late games wouldnt be appealing for fans. Remember, the FTA ratings would remain similar, it would be fox ratings that would mainly increase. i think if the AFL could make extra ratings in a big way they would of done it already..

I think the AFL and the networks concede there is no easy way to fit 21 hours of AFL onto into 1.5 days. For states outside Melbourne I agree. Melbourne and Sydney are basically the same. There are clearly a lot of people home in the evenings. When both AFL matches are on at the same timethose people are only counted watching a single game.
