thoughts ?

Shouldn't, in theory, your game draw a bigger crowd if it invokes the true meaning of ANZAC day by involving Kiwis? Why won't it?
Why on Earth are you suddenly comparing Broncos crowds to Suns crowds? What possible relevance does that have to this ANZAC day discussion. Of course the Broncos will outdraw the Suns, the Broncos are the biggest team in the nRL. The Broncos will also outdraw the Titans every single week. What on Earth os your point there?

Raiderdave, you just look stupid now-the AFL ANZAC game 18 years ago was fully supported by the RSL!
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anzac_Day_clash - Bruce Ruxton who was the then President of the Victorian RSL used to lead all the old diggers in a march to the ground - Coll/Ess were both brave enough to do it with the proviso that due respects are paid to the fallen diggers (e.g. Min silence etc) and all ex-servicemen attend for free. RL did it as they hoped people at the MCG would go to AAMI straight after the match. But one things for certain - in Syd home of NRL you will get 30k at a 80k stadium 1/2 full. In Melb home of AFL we will get 90k in a 100k stadium 9/10 full. We do it to honour the memories of the Anzacs you do it as a publicity stunt. I find that reprehensible you are trading on this day as a way of proping up you morally bankrupt sport. And just like you and the other NRL clowns full of lies and deceit!

hmmmmmm
how could it when we don't have a 100K seat venue you blithering moron
& the relevance to the Broncos & Thuns
Broncos should be able to draw crowds twice as big seeing as their stadium is ..... twice as big
see what I did there cockhead

since when has the SFS held 80K you dribbling shit for brains
the SFS is sold out already for todays game, as it should be ....& a crowd in excess of 40K will attend the game in Sydney .... higher then 9/10
& our game has plenty of NZ .. in its ANZAC
unlike the disgrace at the MCG that has ..... none !!
a sham
a fraud
using ANZAC to make money when you have no Kiwis involved should be illegal .. & the VFL should hang their heads in shame along with the brain washed merinos attending that disgrace today

Raiderdave What a load of crap you spin, thats even worse for you if the NRL aren't playing the game at ANZ, 40k so if you get less than the absolute maximum than it has to be considered a complete failure by your logic. Since when does ANZAC day in Aus have to involve some contingent from NZ to be regarded as part of the day-that is complete babbling nonsense! Shows how really delusional you are - is the NRL games endorsed by the RSL, I would have thought that would be requirement on the day otherwise you profiteering on the day! Not that some Kiwis are involved - unlike yourself I served as did my father, uncles and grandfather - the day is not about football but remembrance of those that fell - so if a couple diggers can go to a game (and I must stress regardless of the code). And the RSL endorses it thats what is important. So I think you should hang your head in shame with comments like that. Ps if you wanna get into a slanging match more than happy to - have no fear I have members of my family in every generation that served - non would be little them selfs with such ignorant comments that you make about the day! I usually find that those with no connection to the day are the ones that sprout off about what the days is about. Pps My first post was when I just got back from the dawn service I hope you did your bit!

oh what an ignorant cock you are
its played at Moore Park because the march , & all the post march activities ... diggers meeting up for lucheons at pubs & RSL clubs throughout the CBD & surrounds ... Surry Hills , Paddington .. Randwick , Roseberry , Alexandria
they march .. they drink beer , eat & play 2 up
then many make their way out to the SFS for the football just a short trip away .................. not 20 fucking K's.. a 40 min trip one way
.. out to Homebush where nothing is going on anywhere near by you dipshit
the RSL endorsed our games when they were first played .... in the 1930's you fucking moron
60 years before the VFL copied us with their pale imitation
the very suggestion they maybe hadn't.... shows the typical ignorance & arrogance of fumbleball followers
you cocks seem to think your game at the G is special
& be little ours
2 can play at that game shithead .... & I do it better
no one north of the murray gives a rats fart about the kiwiless bumbelathon being played today
but
thats the same as every other day up this way too I spose
oh &
you call giving your boyfriend one in the morning .. a dawn service ?

AAMI Park
including corporates .... 30,050
without them about 29,000
ground record crowd there ... 29,412
ANZAC test 2010
Record Storm Crowd there.... 28,850 Prelim Final V Warriors 2011
I'd say the ground record will be broken tonight
&
the Storm won't be , & never does .. anounce a " VFL sellout" there .. which would be just, 22,500

So if 26k show up it wasnt a sellout, correct?

so we have
3 capacity crowds tipped for the first 3 games of the weekend .. Rnd 7
no tickets available for any of these games
up to 95,000 people ... & thats only because thats the number of seats n room available
SFS
AAMI
Brookvale
so much for pies assertion that this would be the round the NRL would ... struggle .. for crowds
as we had
how'd he put it
lots of low drawing teams playing at home
wow
the ignorance ..... the ignorance
