the stadium upgrade looks the deal breaker here...
Something the AFL are pushing in TASMANIA>>> but that figure looks to be 1.5 billion
Please shut up.. AFL are pushing for way more for a side than the NRL are, your facts do not add up
And if your going to talk like this in future, do not expect a reply.
expect a delete
the Tasmanian government has been pushing for a team for years to be permanently based in the apple isle the AFL is asking for a new stadium, Tasmania has the right to a first class stadium
its the NRL demanding the NRL have a team in Perth, facilities, stadium upgrades and funding for grass roots level an unwanted reject ream and not willing to put a cent in! they will play out of HBF park a place they have filled once & have the opportunity to play at optus stadium also
just like they are doing for PNG
no doubt a right to a stadium. (but the team has one big condition by the AFL (with the new stadium)
NRL would like as condition to an upgrade to HBF>> which seating is ok for the 20k capacity but the facilities within the stadium
are 2nd grade..
Both codes are demanding... not just one..
AND PNG was Government Driven.... the NRL just hoped on board as it benefited the league of course.
no it was PVL in the pockets of Albo just like he has been with the WA government. The current ALP Albo and co are idiots with will do anything for some good publicity, the PNG team will be a worry and good luck in attracting players to leave Australia to live and play in PNG
WA government is more conservative and were willing to work with the NRL but the NRL expects everything given & wants to offer nothing except an unwanted team
in the case of the apple isle it was the Tasmanian government that wanted a team and the AFL wants a stadium. the AFL will bankroll the team if need be and put money in to the grass roots something the NRL expects the WA government to do
Tasmania needs a first class stadium, the investment has a flow on effect that attracts events sporting and entrainment that brings fans, businesses and sponsorship
the stadium costs were estimated to be around 1.2 billion that was including works in the surrounding but all up its hard to see the benifit in such a large investment in Tasmania
the cases are very different and the snake oil salesman v landy is just being shown up as a clown
