AFL at Allianz Stadium in Sydney and Hindmarsh Stadium in Adelaide. This looks interesting and I’ll be going along to check it out in Sydney. Footy on rectangular fields. Maybe we won’t be locked out of a redeveloped ANZ Stadium in Sydney after all.

I'm really interested to see this format in action. Just another chance to see the Bombers in action.
Although i feel it'll be more of a showcase for the lesser known talent on lists.
But as a whole I have a feeling this format is aimed at the participation market. Mid week comps across the nation. With only the ultra fit really being able to run for 2 hours this will bring all those that only have 30 minutes of run time in them to the game.
Could be a master stroke from the AFL and another nail in the coffin's for "challenging" leagues.
Good call sporty .
Sadly it died mid MASTERSTROKE.
:(/ :(/ :(/ :(/
Are you telling me all those short form mid week comps have been given the axe too?

I watched 1 quarter of 2 games, I liked it as much as rugby and soccer, I can’t watch them either.

Never liked it. Also never liked this China thing. Also think teams should play each other either once or twice. Prefer once. Would also like a best of three grand final.

22 teams, 22 rounds, 21 x 1 and 1 rival game. Alternate home games every year.

17 rounds .... then top 8. 7 rounds. Then final four (old style).

Alternatively... play the 17 rounds (okay each other once) then celebrate the team on top as champions. Then do an FA cup type knock out comp.

If we could increase the rounds I would go for 24 teams (4 in NSW + Canberra/Murray) with a final four.
Can’t get rid of the finals, another Australian Rules innovation followed by many, as was SOO.

AngloFL invented snow as well or so it seems from news articles today.

Yes, for someone who says the AFL hardly gets any media or not greatly recognised he certainly seems to be up on all the goings on lol
