It is not, it is a rep game we have during the year every year, there are plenty more bigger games to come, like battling to make the 8, making the 8 and staying there, winning semi finals and the final, then WCC and International honours. SOO is a good money earner, that's it. Might be good for some promotion into new territories outside Australia, but it'd be easier to set up a 9's comp and invite teams to partake in it rather than watching a game on TV and learning from that.
This is not what crapper is saying - seems to me your saying that it's a money motivated event.....hmmmm.....like a......gimmick? I'd have to agree with you ParaEels!
