It is not JUST money but it is a major factor. It would be the incentive to put some hard work in and develop a new set of skills and body type. The reality would be any player coming over from AFL would not be aiming to play for state (which would it be) or country. They would more likely be someone high profile so a few years in to their career. It would take a couple of years to get them into nrl level and then it is unlikely they would be the best of the best. Alternatively you may get a kid who coulnld not get a regular AFL game give it a crack. Like that kid from the suns. As AFL grows in non traditional markets you may get guys who switched from rl or ru to AFL give rl a go. I think Heeney was a good ru player in newcastle?

You know what really amazes me though slinky Cam Smith has never played a game of AFL football not one, captain of his club, state and north east Australia but can't make it at the elite AFL level, why is that?

We will never know if Smith could have played at AFL level and the reason for that is that he'll never try, and this is the point I was making to you and your idiot brother, the fact that no elite AFL player has ever attempted to play in the nrl does not prove they cant, what it does prove is that nobody has ever tried or if you like an absence of evidence does not prove evidence of absence.

What we do have evidence for is the fact that 2 league internationals tried and failed in their attempt to make any meaningful impact at AFL level.

I don't mind holding your hand and leading you through this crapper, but this is poor even for you, you really cant see the forest for the trees sometimes can you, your overwhelming need to be seen to be right does tend to cloud your ability to see whats taking place.

Haven't you argued that Folou and Hunt were such great successes in the AFL for the sole reason that they made so much money, and id love to hear how you know with such certainty that no AFL player is willing to try league, how many of them do you know?
