FFA has agreed to Socceroos and Matilda's games there, and the fact the end stands can also be brought in is great for football good news for Rugby League and shows how well League and football can work together.
I would like the new Parrastadium to have the same deal allowing the end stands to be brought in getting rid of the endzones between league and football matches.
Parra stadium looks like it will get safe standing as well which is great news
Agreed
R.L union and soccer should have been lobbying for years for these upgrades.
its great to see.
The Roof over Olympic park too, will help with bad weather
creating what Ethiad has had for years.
Game is good no matter what the weather.
Have the Wanderers locked in Olympic pk during the Parra stadium make over ?
This is what gets me, Home ground advantage can be such a big deal, and it should be a big deal, giving it away by "playing big games" at a location irks me no end.
The Sydney derby in football is a case in point, when played at (old parra, maybe too early to be calling it that, the eels fans might call me up on it and say old parra was cumberland oval) when played at Parra it is 18,000 or more Wanderers, and a small number of SFC and it is intimidating.
When Sydney host it is not quite half and half maybe 2/3 to 1/3 and I think Sydney lose out on that one.
Not going to be the same when we play them at ANZ for the next few years

In Sydney you will find the teams that do not travel
Panthers, Manly, Cronulla. Newcastle, roosters (in small numbers)
Canterbury, parra, souths, tigers and st George
are sydneys big clubs.
Yet the tigers got 9k at one of their home games during the weekend
You do know
1. its a Suburban ground
2. it had thunderstorms that day
(no shelter at ground) though it only sprinkled during part of game

That is why I hope NRL keep suburban grounds around..

Reason why NRL continue to play many matches for years now at suburban grounds because your competition is amateur, struggle to fill a tiny suburban ground.
And almost every home and away game played at anz has no atmosphere and is only filled 20-30 percent of seats sometimes less.

Most of our games will be played at Spotless, going to make a nice change for the ground to actually have some fans there instead of the 15 GWS supporters that turn up.
Looking forward to averaging more than them come season end lol

Don't that you will embarrass them so far this year they have had 10k and 13k which isn't bad in comparison to the NRL.

Everytime NRL gets shit crowd figures (which happens alot) You're on the but but but
You state that it was raining hard? Bullshit, it was so light, I was in city yesterday evening and didn't even need an umbrella.
I remember I was at the scg couple years ago when the swans faced off the blues, it was raining much more then yesterday and manage to get a 15k crowd.
Poor old dockhead .
So easy to catch out
& again .
Yet ran when I posted the pic

I still stand corrected by what I said.
Lol you post one pic of a 2 second shower, majority of the game was played in drizzle and no rain.
Forecast before game wasn't that bad either.
Don't give me your shitty picture of a 2 second shower to try and give a reason for the shitty crowd figure for two big NRL clubs in so called heartland city.
Here is much more clearer pictures of that game.

it pissed down before the match. for about 30mins (not including the rain in the early morning)
it was clear for the 1st 30mins of the game.
and the next 50mins of game including half time it rained like crazy
did you see the state of the ground.
(rain affects Rugby league crowds that all there is to it)
its no excuse, its a fact.
look when there is rain on the day or during the game,
the crowd is reduced by over 50%

I think it will affect your crowds, but yeah still beat the
