Clubs are already compensated for playing Monday night and I suspect the same thing will happen of a Thursday night, if it doesn't already. There will be another increase in club grants next year.

Wookie you don't need to show me a list indicating just how unsuccessful the Artsy Fartsy League have been in there attempt at creating some interest in there sport. There numbers have been on a downward path for a number of years. Im not sure if anyone in AFL circles would be happy with the current situation.

more lies. The AFL have increased their average crowds since their initial dip when they introduced new expansion clubs. Meanwhile the NRL crowds have dropped for 3 years straight to levels not seen since 2004.

Also, you need to learn the difference between there, they're and their. Just saying

X-man I'm trying to find a point. Is it numbers that your on about - when I refer to numbers its real numbers - meaningful numbers ie viewers .

And why would anyone want three there's when you only need one?

This week is tracking 3.9m, now just waiting on Mondays Fox number which will put it well past 4.1m.

Another huge week and at a guess up %20 but we will have to wait for wooks spreadsheets.

20 years of News Ltd ownership wont change overnight but its well on the way. And by the time the NRL finalise there broadcast money they'll be lucky to be 20m a year difference. All this and it is well known they pissed of the wrong people, so what will happen next time?. With the NSW government about to invest $1.6b in league related infrastructure I think RL will get past the $20m shortfall.

All you have to do is look at the facts

ever since the NRL got rid of NEWS LIMITED from the game of (ownership)

Look at how much more money the NRL is making, that it self proves what a hold news had on the game.

The facts are favourable when it comes to tv. less so when it comes to the rest of the NRLs finances which havent grown at the same rate. Cant blame News for everything it seems.
agree,

though it takes a lot longer to grow the NRL's finances,
then the Tv Product they already had and was thriving...

You've been promising this crap for years. every time its "oh but new zealand isnt done yet" or some other bullshit and the total sumn ALWAYS comes back lower than you predict.

because stadium infrastructure - media rights cash? well thats a whole new level of bullshit from you.
It couldn't be to be too many years. They've only been free of News ltd for not much more than three.

I believe I predicted 1.9b - it was actually more than I expected. Maybe the figure will be slightly less than the $2B Roy Masters predicts but, wether you like to agree or not hes usually close to the mark.

You may be envious, but International rights are certainly not bullshit.

Seeing that you must be some sort of an expert on bullshit. Please tell me how the State Government's 1.6b investment is bullshit?

If your talking about the Government money I in no way implied that it had anything to do with media rights. I only pointed out that it will be a benefit to Rugby League and a further boost!
