Post_hoc we are talking about Australian ratings, not worldwide. Your 60 million figure is therefore irrelevant.

Why are we talking about Australian ratings for an Asian wide event?

The answer is not because this is an Australian site, but rather the inconvenient truth that the other two sports fapped over on here simply can't compare to international football.

1 pretty much doesn't have a national team ( which is fine look at the NFL) and the others international events are a joke. Football and union are the only two that have any sort of overseas exposure.

So I know it pisses lyingdave off no end when I tell him the final of what he labelled a mediocre and meaingless event will have 60 million people watching it. Compared to his bigger than bigger anything SOO 4million.

And yet, the A League grows, grassroots football grows, the FFA cup exists, all you death riders are funny to watch.

It is highly relevant to any advertisers, sponsors, business people that the Final will be watched by 60 million people.

Whine, moan and complain all you want but I know the fact that the a football tournament in this country will be watched by 100's of millions of people pisses you off. The AFL can only dream of that, and Rugby League aren't even bright enough to dream of it.

Their 4 nations joke of a comp had how many viewers?

Really? Ok let's see how much you really think that. What do you estimate will be the ratings if Socceroos make the final?

Stop. That's exactly what's wrong with the game of soccer. Putting that on a pedestal. Don't do it.

Why shouldn't we be happy that our grassroots game is the biggest and keeps getting bigger? It is hugely important to the survival of any sport.

That is why the NRL is so desperate to inflate their figures.

Sooker is a game for females
Easy to play
Shit easy ... ladyboys can play it

Thats the only reason people play it
But
No one gives a fuck about it in this country
it has almost zero respect & is laughed at

RL is hard to play
Truly intimidating .. scary hard
Hugely respected for how tough it is.. its a game aussies will enjoy watching a lot .. & it is
It fits our nature just like NFL suits Americans
Their reaction to sooker is the same as ours...
A sheilas sport?
Fuck off [-(

But to play RL ?
Well you need big hairy nuts n an attitude to match
Real steel between yr ears

A lot of fans want to play
But cant
They physically do not posses the tools to

But sooker
A pulse is all thats required for that soft girly crap

But it has nothing to do with the Asian Cup and the Socceroos. You're inflating it's importance way too much. Big grass roots is useless if the revenue isn't up to scratch at elite level.

Porkchop porkchop porkchop listen up matey.

You live in Australia where sooker as a sport is given little respect, in fact vast vast numbers and proportions of the men women and hermaphrodites in this country actively despise the code. The sookewhos rank 100th in the world  and our national comp is the laughing stock of the country's pro sports. This is where you live bro.

The Asian cup will be incredibly mediocre. I mean shit, I only heard the thing was happening on this site  the level of the competition will be incredibly low. And I'd assume that given the billions living in Asia, that proportionally the audience would be struggling to beat Aussie lawn bowls on the abc.

Porkchop? Quit while yer behind bro. It's already gettin fairly messy in here.

I suspected you had your head up your arse for a while, considering you lived in your own universe. Thanks for confirming it, to only know the Asian Cup is on because of this forum, clearly you don't read any newspapers or watch any TV news lol
