#TalkingFooty Regarding the Adam Goodes saga, I believe all Australians would NOT be concerned by Adam's actions by itself. What has provoked some people, including myself, is the fact there seems to be a DOUBLE STANDARD, and Adam plays it very well. All Australians would take that as a throw it in your face, I'm better! ... But why they do not accept it so easily is because if we threw a similar action back at him, He ( or Aboriginal extremists ) would consider it racist. It's apparently OK for Aboriginals to in a fashion say "fuck you" to non-aboriginals (without regard to how some may take it) but if a non-aboriginal says "fuck you" to and aboriginal (without regard to how it may be taken) it is automatically racist .. I HATE DOUBLE STANDARDS!!!

Wtf is wrong with you AFL fans, so what if this fella done something after kicking a goal. We see this type of stuff weekly in the NRL and we couldn't care less. The All Stars games alone have all the indigenous boys doing their stuff to celebrate before during and after, you don't see any garbage from the fans be they black blue yellow red white purple or alien. In fact the National team in Rugby League used to do a war dance before every Kangaroos test match even if it did look stupid being performed by a bunch of white fellas that looked like they had no idea.
Get a frigging grip, anyone would start to think the AFL is some white redneck boys game that dare not let anyone else participate in.

It was the context of his actions only days after complaining about his treatment. Goodes was already an unpopular player with opposition fans because of how he plays the game. To then specifically and deliberately taunt the opposition crowd was only asking for further booing. If he wanted to make an indigenous statement he should have directed it at the crowd in general, not specifically one small section who were booing him.
I heard some guy say on talk back radio that if Goodes really wanted to make a statement to promote the indigenous cause he should have offered peace with the Carlton fans, not war. If he had of walked over and shook the hand of an opposition fan, or offered a gum leaf, it would have won support, not derision.

ive posted comments in another thread from BF members from 8 years ago saying hes a great player but dirty and stages for frees. He's booed for these reasons alone

Xman I'm afraid you can't speak for the lot of em. None of us really can but facts are this booing has significantly increased in intensity since the little girl called him an ape. Then thousands on social media attacked goodes for picking on what they thought an innocent child. Thousands. Then Eddie said goodes should play King Kong, a horribly insensitive and racist comment, and thousands more said goodes is being over sensitive and should suck it up... Think actually you were defending Eddies position, and thus totally neglecting Adams yourself on this very site Xman. So there's evidence that thousands of AFL fans are clearly opposed to goodes being upset and taking a stand against what could be termed "casual racism" tho I'd prefer to just call it racism.
Yes there may be some fans booing goodes because they think he's staging, which is a fairly extensive thing to do every time someone gets a ball ... But there's def a whole bunch more who are jumping in and booing him because they can't handle it that the man is against little girls, AFL club CEOs and any other fukkers who want to be racist. Thousands upon thousands of em. They need to learn, as do you and wookie Xman
