Yeah and the Swans only need 86% filled to have a better atmosphere! Certainly an average crowd of 32k is what Sydney NRL clubs can only dream of yet it takes the WHOLE of the NRL to get more!!! Hahaha very funny!

well it wasn't pretty
it was a street brawl wasn't it
what we call in our game .... a shit fight
the price of victory was way beyond anything a fumbler could comprehend .. a whole states pride is not anything they understand
they celebrate a team representing a Mall & 4 streets & its glory
we stand up & show our colours for everything inside entire borders
the investment in last nights result meant no one cared though
it was another gripping
intesnse , different ...but nevertheless .... outstanding spectacle but for reasons different to the first game
it was all about the result last night
not how it was achieved
that frees up game 3
nothing to lose now
so watch both teams turn it on ........... wow
just wow =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>

Easter Monday
Parra V the Tigers .... 50,668
Easter Friday
Souths V Bulldogs ...... 43,521
& theres about another 4 NRL games in Sydney still to take place that could all draw more then the Swines crowd last week which will be the Swines biggest for 2014
plus
of course
theres not ONE .... NRL game played this year that the Swines have drawn more TV veiwers in Sydney
not
ONE

Swans v Poort: 85% capacity
Parra v igers: 60% capacity
Now you're backed yourself into a corner my simple friend. You can either stick to your guns that % of capacity is the only measure that matters, and admit that the Swans crowd is 'bigger' than the Parra crowd, or you can abandon that
ridiculous notion once and for all.
But you can't do both.

And what are the averages for those clubs for 2014 - is it 50k, 48k or the Swans average of 32k????? What not even 30k or 28k - Souths Average only 22k for 2014 - 10k behind the Swans! And Parra 19k only 13 k behind the Swans and the Tigers 13k, 20k behind the Swans - oh dear, RD fails and fails spectacularly! And just for completeness the Snot Green Raiders of Canberra average 9k. Hahaha how funny! Time to go back to the basement have mummy put of a fresh nappy and pick up mein kampf!

There's not much teams like Parra can do unless they move stadiums or wait till the old one is upgraded. The only way the club can boost its crowd to above parra stadium capacity is to play the odd game at homebush and so far they have played there once this year for a 50k crowd. The next game they play there is against the bulldogs and that should go close to beating the game against the tigers if both stay in form. So I really don't know what you are going on about swans4never and co, I'd rather parra have the 19k average as crowds than TV ratings in my home town, but I am picky.

My point is that Swans average 32k which is the highest average crowd in NSW - yet somehow this conversation ALWAYS turns to tv - if parra had 1 crowd of 50k how bad was the rest of the crowds - means an that if you take the remaining 6 home games they average is 14k - yet their stadium holds 21k - that's all we ever hear from RL - TV ratings - yet sponsorship, average crowds, football club revenue and memberships you fail miserably. You don't even acknowledge these and why - because you know your beat! So answer one question just one - what percentage of the TV ratings of the last Parramatta game on the TV were Parramatta supporters?

but what is the average for the swans & what is the average for every other NSW based NRL team
Swans 32734k
south 22548k
stgeorge 19608k
the rest who cares
see wow the NRL once got a 50k crowd, why? public holiday, every one has payed to attend the game?
yet for the rest of the season they play in fron of 15k sized crowds, to bring their average back down to reality, but that's not something you bumsniffers like to believe in "reality"

the swans are 10k in front

They have been shit for years plus they take a game a year to a place like Alice Springs, Parks, Darwin whatnot that have even smaller capacities than parra stadium.
The club is just only now looking at taking more of their bigger games to anz, but it's not got past 1 or 2 games yet.
If any of you AFL fans/sports fans have the time, watch this video of Dave Smith, he's bloody good and in it he explains what their strategy is towards Sydney crowds for certain clubs as well as a heap of other stuff concerning the game.

Well put it this way, Souths have been shit for decades until recently, Parra recently have been shit, they have not played each other in form for at least 3 decades and the last time was at Parra stadium and they got a record crowd of over 27,000. Parra play Souths in a few weeks time and atm, both clubs are well in the top 8, what does Parra trust and the rest do, ummm and ahhhh about where to play this game.
Parramatta with a 19,500 capacity was voted to host the game.
It will be a sell out, easily.
They could have played at anz and let all the souths members in to get a decent crowd, but no, they didn't.
