As if your opinion is valid.
And Swans could knock you out in ten seconds.

Keep thinking that, Dave. It's not true and you are unable to comprehend the fact.

So what's your point, that NRL crowds should be bigger like AFL crowds are? Well i've said a million times NRL = better on tv, AFL = better at the ground. Thus, AFL crowds > nrl crowds. So what's your point?

If any consolation I think crowds in NRL over time will continue growing - I still believe both codes can co-exist

NO! AFL MUST DIE LIKE THE SCUM IT IS! wait...hold on. i'm not raiderdave.....
haha, yea they can and will. For sure. I think Soccer, AFL, NRL will be the premier codes in 50 years with union and cricket consumed by them largely.

Yeah think Union is in for hard times with kissing 19 mil over last year on player payments - although I'm not completely ontop of what the issue is about - biggest problem for them is profile, if they keep being uncompetitive the code will suffer

IMO it's extremely hard to look into the crystal ball except the immediate future.
RU has the strength of being Internationally based and spread across across Australia.
RL is still concentrated largely in Sydney.

largely concentrated in Sydney is it
it is the only sport that anyone gives a shit about from just north of the murray ... to the cape York peninsula
that's why it is the most watched sport in this nation
why it has the largest media rights deal in this nation
why it posted a profit in the first year of the above deal.... more then 3 times larger then the VFL's
fumblers don't fear yawnion
it is a basketcase , a joke
they are getting shit scared of RL these days
as they should , we have never had the money to impose ourselves properly nationally on Aust's sporting psyche , we have to the tool to do this now in Origin & the coin to back this up
we have a low contact easy to play version of our game to take to every schoolboy & schoolgirl in every state & territory in the land with a game that isn't confined to a few suburbs in Melb & fremantle
be afraid fumblers
be very afraid ....... we're comin & we mean business

I love the way you just make things up Dave. All those "facts" are simply wrong. I think you believe them though so all power to you for that. I'll just watch the others here come in and once again waste their time outlining why they are wrong. It won't make any difference, they'll ask for proof to support your "facts" .. You won't give it and will dance around it ... You'll cherry pick a few stats like soo ratings as proof for everything else... They'll provide real facts and go on and on in disbelief that you're so stupid (I call it passion), and then you'll respond with non sensical insults and pictures of children crying ... It sort of follows the basic premise of this whole forum. That's why I see Dave like the lady Japanese solider on a remote island refusing to surrender and believe the war is over. Yes it's a bit sad but there is also something admirable about it too.

Although part of me likes to think Dave is sitting back having a chuckle to himself at all of those, myself included, that constantly take the bait. I don't think so, but it would be kind of nice to think he is the smart one and has been playing us all along. But I doubt it. I think he truly believes, or needs to believe, nrl is king. And really, what harm is there in him thinking this ... Really??

i think your spot on with the cricket, its in big trouble, at all levels, aside from the t20 stuff, the tests & odi's are in big trouble, i was reading the participation at junior & amateur levels are down & the state system isnt producing the talent like it once use to. Union's popularity depends on how the national team goes but it does have a strong presents in the Private schools.
the sleeping giant in Australia is the A League, its the biggest game in the world, they have finally gotten the local league right after a few attempts, record crowds again & its now on fta with record ratings. many of the migrants & refugees that now live here from countries where soccer/football rules
the AFL has put a lot of money in to grass roots level all around Australia to attract new fans when there young & now ventured down the RL path & come up with its own version of the touch footy "the Cadbury9s", an area where RL has been very successful in
but the next 10 years will be very interesting in sport with the changing of the landscape
