I'm talking about both! It's all there.

Senior Clubs - AFL: 10 - Rugby League: 6 (including the Raiders)
Junior Clubs - AFL: 11 - Rugy League: 9

Surely you aren't THAT ignorant towards the obvious difference!
:(/ :(/ :(/ :_<> :_<> :_<>

you half witted *********

those Canberra Junior RL Clubs field sides in 3 divsions
from ages 6 to 16
http://www.sportingpulse.com/assoc_page ... 1084-0-0-0

that's ....
11 age groups X 9 clubs ... X 3
for a total of 297 teams .... with about 20 players per side

5500 players

the fumbles n bumbles play ages 8 to 17... no 16's
in just 1 divison per age group

http://www.sportingpulse.com/comp_info. ... pID=247314
that's ...
10 age groups X 11 clubs X 1
110 teams .. with about 25 players per side
that's 2750 players

& RL has 2 clubs in Queanbeyan
the fumbles n bumbles ... just 1

that's another 66 RL teams in Queanbeyan & another 1000 players
to
10 fumble bumble teams ..with another 250 players

& of course in the Canb region
we have teams & kids playing RL in Canberra every 2nd week from

Yass
Goulburn
Bungendore
Cooma

I don't think this fumbling bumbling Victorian abortion ... has teams in any of these places

its not even close
RL snot bags VFL in Canberra
RL shatters into tiny pieces VFL .. in the Canberra Region

Okay I'm going to barge in on this one, Jacky Boy, because you don't know Canberra very well for someone who lives there. I lived there for a little over two years and I can tell you that the AFL grounds are looked after a whole lot better than the thugby grounds! Aside from Manuka, Ainslie and Tuggeranong are magnificent venues. What does the district thugby comp have? Northbourne Oval? I've seen that from the bus and it is a HOLE! Phillip District Ovals? Even worse! Tuggeranong's thugby ground is next to the football oval IIRC, and I can tell you which facilities are better! I don't know what the West Belconnen Leagues Club is like but judging by the others it would have been poorly kept as well!

So what's the pecking order again?

Get out and look at what's really going on, Jacky, because right now you don't have a clue. Canberra has been an AFL town for a long time and you only have to look at how the Raiders are struggling and how the Brumbies only pull big crowds when they are winning to see that I'm right. What was the crowd at the 2010 district league grand final and where was it played? Bet it was played in Queanbeyan, in NEW SOUTH WALES! Bet also that the crowd at the AFL Canberra GF at Manuka was bigger!

Needed to be said.

Prove that remark about Canberra TV ratings, ParraEels!

Dave, according to the link I supplied earlier there are AFL teams in Yass, Goulburn and Cooma. But in this argument we are talking about Canberra, not them and not Queanbeyan either. And don't go on numbers like that. An RL team is 15. An AFL team is 18.

You want to prove RL is bigger than AFL in Canberra? Get more clubs.

I proved RL has more Junior clubs in Canberra without any assistance from the NSW teams in towns near by
297

to 110

& RL registrations cap at 20 players per team in the ACT
most teams get to this number easily.... but I averaged the figure at 18

I allowed ... 25 for each fumbles & bumbles team

&
we still have double the players :(/ :(/ :_<> :_<>

TV ratings alone put the Vfl last in Canberra, it's embarrassing for prime to have to show the game :(/ :(/ :(/

They've had a few articles about the poor showing over the years in the ACT, yet a bunch of loons here think it's the biggest game in town since Jesus was a lad.

Too bloody funny.

Oh, and the Brumbies according to a few newspaper articles a year or so back had them as the lowest ratings pro (mens) team in Australia on Pay TV, yet they're bigger than the Raiders too according to said loons above :^o
Rugby League is the most watched sport by a country mile on TV in Canberra as we know Parra

4/5 top rating shows each & every year in all categories .. are RL games
the 3 Origins & the NRL GF

no other sport regularly gets into the top ten with any of their games because they are
simply not as popular

& the lesson endith ....... here !!

If we're talking exclusive ACT ratings, I'd put money on the Brumbies rating higher than the Raiders. The reason the Raiders get more watching on Fox is because more people in NSW and QLD watch league than union.

No it doesn't it gets torn to shreds here, Dave, because you're using your precious NATIONAL figures! I wanted specific Canberra figures which you don't have obviously!

Put the goal posts that you moved back where they belong and start again.

There are zero articles comparing ratings for both the Brumbies and Raiders in the ACT only, as both are usually shown on Foxtel which doesn't provide a city breakdown figure. So we have to rely on crowds and participation, and we all know who wins there.
