the VFL had made so little impact on non heartland markets it decided to poach the dominant codes stars to try n promote its 2 new clubs that no one was going to give a fuck about if they didn't , the experiment failed anyway as no one gave a fuck anyway ..... but the VFL can't preach co existence with a sport & then poach that sports players at the same time .. it wasn't the act of a sport wanting to " get along ".. it was provocative & arrogant & disrespectful.
losing 2 players made no impact at all to our comp of course , but it made things very clear .....the VFL made its intentions known with this treachery .......
& .. the VFL will pay for this act , it in the end will be the biggest mistake they've made as it put the NRL on a war footing.
