the VFL 2012 finals attendances are down about 80,000 on 2011
this is just a reflection of the season as a whole for the victorian game .... interest is at an all time low as a result of the woeful standard
I believe 2013 will be a continuation of this ..... & the VFL average will drop below 30,000 for the first time in about 20 years
this is what you get when you expand before you are ready
the greedy .. egomaniacal VFL was simply too cocky & full of itself & it will pay the price for the next ten years
here endith the lesson

but our memberships and tv ratings are way up this year
Plus this is just a small sacrifice to expand our game, in 5-10 years time the gws and suns should be selling out games.
your memberships are almost as much a sham as your pay TV ratings
ie
Adelaide has over 50,000 members
yet averaged only 35,000
the Swines .. 33,000
average 24,000 ( with SCG members taken out .. its really about 20,000)
VFL memberships in the main are nothing but $20 bumber sticker .. fridge magnet .. or cat memberships & the above proves it
its part of the greater smoke n mirror games played by the VFL
all is not what it seems
you swallow the BS served up without question like brained washed merinos .. baaaaaaa ...baaaaaaaa
when will you lot wake up to this

more BS from you Dave!
The AFL have 3 times the number of members compared to the NRL. Our crowds are double but we have 8 teams outside our biggest state, resulting in few local derbies, where as the NRL only have 6! Add to this we play regular games in Tasmania. The difference in membership numbers are accurately demonstrated in crowd figures, so if ours are exaggerated so are the NRLs.

I have explained the VFL memberships are a sham
all this .. but but butting .. & .. Oh I can explain ... is the regurgitaion of the lies & BS the VFL try on .. & get away with
with their own fans .. mainly because they are stupid & gullible
& as for your lame attempt at deflection
South Sydney have 22,000 members
average 19,000
they'd be the only example in our game of having more members then average crowds
our other big clubs
Canterbury .. 15,000 members
average ... 24,000
& worse
Bronocos .... 25,000 members
average .. 34,000
Tigers ... 12,000 members
18,000 average crowds
no
our members aren't purchasing ... a scarf & a monthly magazine like most VFL members are
nuh
theres no trickery in our numbers .. the VFL are shammers of the highest order
when will you lot wake up

yet as i explained the majority of NRL clubs are located in Sydney where they play more local derbies with away fans inflating the crowd above members attending. AFL club members more than double the NRL's and crowds are around double. Less local derbies, and more games in expansion markets explain the difference.

AFL crowds will be up next year. By 2020 AFL will average above 40K for the regular season.

you moron
the VFL manipulate their draw ... to get as many all Melb games as possible
even this doesn't hide the ... trickery in the membership numbers
the VFL has 3 times the members of the NRL
yet
less then double the crowds
VFL memberships ... just another sham

Since when did they expect exactly 100k?
It always sells out but rarely does every single people attend.

100K & a bit is the mark .... 2 years in a row its fail to get there ... after the previous 3 where it did
the VFL ... on the decline

More Dave's logic. Was the NrL a full house? Was it more than 99k
