The Broncos’ Derby Deal allows you to secure your seat for the March 9 blockbuster against the Cowboys a week before tickets go on sale for as little as $35.
Included in the price – which is just a few dollars more than the actual ticket price – are many membership benefits and some merchandise that comes with it.
“This is a chance to get your seat at one of the biggest games of the year a week early, as well as membership benefits of the best club in the land, and all for a tiny bit more than the cost of a normal ticket
Along with a ticket to the game, supporters receive member benefits and therefore are counted as a member of the Broncos.

What a farce. The Broncos are selling tickets to their derby match and claiming tickets sold for this game amount to a membership and hence are counted in their membership numbers. Only in the NRL do you see such a farce when it comes to so called official figures. How pathetic. Fudging figures again as is the norm in the NRL.

It's a brilliant marketing move. Give people a taste of being a member with a hat etc. and get the details of thousands of people in the process to try and convert to season ticket holders in future seasons.

But they shouldn't be counting them NOW! That's not marketing. That's lying!

They sold around 3,500 of those tickets on Monday alone. We'll just have to see come next update if a sizeable jump in numbers occur.

OK if that's how we now count membership numbers, all ticket holders for GWS vs Sydney at ANZ Stadium will now be counted as GWS members. Fair enough? Just following your ridiculous logic here.
Go Giants. A record membership base to be set in your first year. Yay!!!

Desperate to keep up with the Reds and the Lions by counting ticketholders to one game as members. How lame especially when you consider they are still behind.
Better description of this practice might be just to call it what it is... "dodgey".

The Derby Deal tickets are more expensive than normal tickets due to the member benefits. The Broncos aren't tricking anyone, people aren't being forced to buy membership just to attend the game.
It's nothing like counting regular ticket holders. People could have quite easily waited till next week and got cheaper tickets but are willing to spend the extra and become members. Smart work by the Broncos.
And before going on about having to purchase these tickets otherwise they will miss out on seats, the sections on offer during the deal are located in the 3rd tier.

Stop talking s.hit.

Prices range from $35 to $50 for Adults, with Concession and Junior pricing also available.

It's exactly that and you know it. Like I said though, no issue with me. We'll just count all those in attendance at GWS vs Sydney in Round 1 of the AFL as members of the Giants. Same logic, surely no issue with you.

Relevance to dodgey membership numbers?

So whatever crowd goes to a single home and away game we can count them all as members now! Wow. The NRL are in for another smashing this year.
Fudge fudge.....
