People in the northern states of Australia love international competition, you only have to see the turnout in Sydney for the Socceroos match. By the time footy takes off up in QLD and NSW that's exactly what they're going to get.

fishmonger wrote:Actually in PNG, they are becoming like the Gold Coast, split down the middle. So much so, that they're even now debating for the hearts and minds of the people and AFL is winning.

We have the best game in the world and there are many, many people working very hard to show the rest of the world just how good our great game is.
Our aim is to see Australian football become a fully-fledged international sport. It is not going to happen overnight of course but it will happen.
If you disagree that's fine as you are entitled to your opinion. But your opinions would carry more weight if they were based on fact rather than BS.

You're posting photos of Australian Football overseas to support your theory of Australian Football is not played overseas.
I've only used the figures from three countries to verify my claim that there is at least 60k AR participnats overseas using sources completely independant of AFL.
Posting ancient photos and figures only magnifies the fact that you cannot the fact that Australian Football is expanding.
And using multiple emoticons - is that the best you can do ?
