The numbers for overseas regular footy players across all age groups playing Footy were 26,000 in 2004

Try telling that to the hundreds of PNG supporters who came to Melbourne for the International Cup Grand Final at the MCG. I was there and they were pretty vocal. AFL is huge in PNG. Virtually everyone there knows it exists.

I for one am really looking forward to 2008, and I think that in 2011, the international scene will just start to ripen enough for some serious competition between the big players NZ, PNG and South Africa.

People in the northern states of Australia love international competition, you only have to see the turnout in Sydney for the Socceroos match. By the time footy takes off up in QLD and NSW that's exactly what they're going to get.

Just imagine a crowd like last Wednesday's Socceroos crowd, filling the MCG for international footy, with teams from South Africa, New Zealand, Denmark Britain etc.

To see a country like Denmark , non English speaking and low number expat rule perform so professionally and competively is a real blast .

Actually in PNG, they are becoming like the Gold Coast, split down the middle. So much so, that they're even now debating for the hearts and minds of the people and AFL is winning.

Have a look at http://www.aussierulesinternational.com and tell me that Australian football is not international.

We have the best game in the world and there are many, many people working very hard to show the rest of the world just how good our great game is.

Our aim is to see Australian football become a fully-fledged international sport. It is not going to happen overnight of course but it will happen.

If you disagree that's fine as you are entitled to your opinion. But your opinions would carry more weight if they were based on fact rather than BS.

You're posting photos of Australian Football overseas to support your theory of Australian Football is not played overseas.
I've only used the figures from three countries to verify my claim that there is at least 60k AR participnats overseas using sources completely independant of AFL.
Posting ancient photos and figures only magnifies the fact that you cannot handle the fact that Australian Football is expanding.

Expats don't count you moron, all the Indonesian and Indian teams and not a single farking local on the field or in the stands.

Your code being played in 98% of the places mentioned is a bloody myth, accept it.
