things like memberships & attendances .. sponsorships merchandising etc are big players too & we are well behind the AFL on most of these KI's

Dream on
the AFL is a dinosaur
simply nothing going for it ...........a boring lopsided domestic comp , failed expansion
no representative program domestic or otherwise
no international presence at all .... zero

geez
what a nightmare .... for you that is
If by dinosaur you mean massive, yep you're correct!

Nothing going for it? Hmmm, cashed up, massive memberships, world class attendances, expanding nationally, amazing TV coverage only months away. Hmmm, nothing

memberships only went up with an extra team ...

Listen dopey, memberships and crowds are up, no two ways about it. Of course the average crowd went down. When you introduce a new team that plays at a stadium with a capacity below your codes attendance average that is bound to happen. (my local suburban soccer ground has a capacity higher than the NRLs average attendance!!!)

But, more people attended AFL games last year than ever before. EVER!

And NRL? Nope, sorry

LOL... smoke n mirrors
typical of the AFL & their delusional moronic supporters

they add a club
& spruke the fact an extra it was the highest attended season in history .... but .. it was only 29K more people ova the entire season .... 29K 8-[

an extra 11 games ... that attracted .. a whopping ... 29k more people
http://stats.rleague.com/AFL/crowds/summary.html

the average dropped by more then 2k
a game

the real number
a drop of 350K fans ....
it will drop by another 2k on average a game again in 2012
but watch the worlds biggest W@nkers ... the AFL.... claim another record because 15K more will attend games in 2012 ... then 2011

don't bring your trickery of numbers & creative accounting in here
we're way too smart for that

Again dopey, expansion will always drop the average, especially when the AFLs is already so much higher. The expansion team are also near bottom.

Yet the total number of fans went up!

Fantastic result really.

The average dropped, the total increased. A great result in significant expansion.

And the NRL? The average dropped and the total dropped! :D and both would drop more if not for the scandalous crowd figures that regularly are claimed! Evn from with the code itself!
