TLPG wrote:No it didn't stay because we already have it at club level. Besides, thugby has a natural two state rivalry. That's why it works. AFL doesn't have that - because every time the Vic v SA rivalry is pressed, WA is left out. As is Tasmania. So it falls flat because it doesn't work.
No jealousy. I said that State of Origin was irrelevant because the AFL has no comparible level. This is about club level, where there is a comparison - and on that AFL is winning.
For someone who comes from Darwin, you forget very quickly the annual AFL game between the Indigneous All Stars and a selected AFL club. I think it didn't happen this year for whatever the reason but that's the first time that's happened since it started.
We have State of Origin every week in the national AFL.
The Indigenous All Stars game was called off this year due to terrible weather in Darwin and Alice Springs.

Show how little you know. The AFL Indigenous All Stars game is broadcast nationally on the ABC.
The NRL copy is only broadcast on Channel 9 in NSW and QLD. No one else is interested obviously.

Stop talking out of your rear end, KE. AFL has done more for the Indigenous community than NRL could even dream of.

I agree with this TLPG. I think the achievements of the AFL and more significantly, the Aboriginal community, have been inspirational in promoting reconciliation in Australia through the sport.
If you open your other eye, if you have one, and read what I've written you might see I'm simply isolating the Indigenous all stars game as something the NRL has thus far done very well with. I know you're too one eyed to agree with this

Reality is that the NRL is NOT doing a better job than the AFL when it comes to the All Star games like that. Note that the AFL plays the game in Darwin. Where do the NRL play theirs? Anywhere but Aboriginal heartland. Instant loss.
Talking of Darwin - LOL at the lights at Marrara!!

Careful, Mark. There are many who claim to be of Aboriginal heritage who aren't.
Besides, I'll bet that many communities in NT are under counted (probably applies to SA, WA and Queensland as well).

Thanks for the figures Mark,
I thought everyone knew this but well once again TLPG has shown us all he pulls his facts from where the sun dont shine. The hypocrisy and ignorance of TLPG is amazing and funny but I think he needs to be reprimanded now. It's just so obvious the guy makes it up as he goes. The man has no humility and the way in which he tries to weasel his way out of his ignorance makes him look worse and in the end is just depressing. I have a strong feeling TLPG is beyond 're-educating'.
Hang your head in shame TLPG.

I will go with the Cencus figures. Tell me how you arrived at your conclusion that the majority live in NT. There night be more per capita in NT but defrinately not the
majority.

What's wrong with the ABC? For a start the ABC goes to more Australian loungerooms than any other channel. Isn't that good promotion of the AFL having the All Stars match live nationwide?

Didn't you read my qualification? I guess not seeing as you can't spell "Cen
sus".
