NRL's average fox ratings for games on Thursday rate 231k. On Friday they rate 239k.

On Saturday prime time fox rates 283k when not simulcast on FTA

On Saturday night when shown on FTA

the NRL Average is 282 on fox!

As I told you many many many times before no its not. It's not like the AFL schedule. All Games/all tv schedules are worked out months before the start of the season.

Those rounds were included in the average, and given they knew those saturday games were FTA they would have scheduled their best matchups

Though on Sunday The simulcast game has higher fox ratings then when shown in isolation.

While the atmosphere created on Friday night means the AFL simulcast ratings on Fox are about 50% higher than there average.

Yeah, one session may have had a more interesting event on the main channel, but this is every program!

Movies, sport, comedy etc all rate far far better on the main channel even when the main channel program is not in prime time.

I have never seen the secondary channels out rate the primary channel.

Your simulcast game is usually your better game eg: broncos. Your 6pm game is at a less viewer friendly time and competes with the news. Perth cop this disadvantage every Friday and Saturday night.

What a stupid conclusion! We had some horrible matches on Friday this year after Carlton the wooden spooners played in many games and were regularly trounced. Yet these games still out rated big games on Saturday night on Fox.

To update, so far these facts have proven:

- Games exclusive to fox rate higher (on Fox)

- Secondary digital channels rate far lower than primary channels for every program

- AFL on fox 3 rates 50% less than AFL on fox footy irrespective of who is playing
