Yes, both our games are on at the same time for many games. Yet if we both watch 15 hrs over the weekend you are counted 192 times for the season and im only counted 112 times.
NOT COMPARABLE

you're the one needing help.
Your only argument for why cumulative ratings are relevant to RL and AFL, and nowhere else world-wide, is they have comparable scheduling on TV. That's it! No other reason at all.
Yet when you look at RL and AFL on TV there are many large differences:
- The NRL only has 15 sides in Australia
- The NRL is limited to 2 states
- The NRL show every game in isolation
- The NRL schedule games in their round over 4 days
- The NRL have 5 games exclusive to foxtel every round
- The NRL only have maybe 2 afternoon games a round
- The AFL have an extra FTA game in markets outside Victoria
- The AFL show some games on 7mate in Perth and Adelaide
- The AFL show some games on FTA delayed into Perth and Adelaide
- The AFL have primetime games shown in Perth at 5.30pm on weekdays
- The AFL have up to 8 games per weekend shown directly against another game
- The AFL target local markets on FTA
- The AFL rarely have an exclusive game on Fox
- The AFL have up to 5 of their games per round shown during afternoon
- The AFL telecast goes for 50% longer
- The AFL's season is 4 weeks shorter
- The AFL has teams in the 5 biggest Australian cities across 3 time zones
Yeah, they're identical!
And he claims I need help

The bloke is a bias confirming self delusional nong. He will not accept any comparison, any measure, any number unless it shows a win in his tiny mind to the fumbling game.
For the record..... again.....and again....after the time before that.....and the time before that.....yep ....you know what I mean: The NRL and AFL both publish total yearly ratings in their annual reports. They talk about them throughout the year. Media analysts, media commentators, journalists, supporters and the great Wookie compare total ratings of the codes and other sports. And of course broadcasters keep a forensic eye on them for the obvious reason it's how they value each code. To say otherwise is blind code war denial-ism!!!
The delusional dimwit said on another post, " I showed you a comparison of 2 of the biggest sporting comps in the world and they use averages, and mainly of their highest rating games." Great. Let's use these pearls of wisdom.
FTA NRL avg 2018 600k - AFL 307k. Fox avg NRL 241k - AFL 184k. Nice numbers. 5 highest rating games 2018 NRL 4 v AFL 1. Beautiful numbers.
And of course how do you get average numbers.......oh yeah......you divide the number of games into the cumulative total lolololololol!!!!! And every sport around the world compare's their ratings year on year. Below is an NFL comparison for 2015-16-17.
https://www.si.com/tech-media/2018/01/0 ... network-tv
They compare the season average for each of the broadcasters. And how do they get the average number? That's right scoop.........they divide the number of games into the cumulative total!!!!
The article then states the NFL dropped 9% on 2016. And how do they know that skip????? Oh yeah Sonny.......they compare the.......wait for it........
cumulativeratings lololololololol!!!!!
Now cue the nutter to go round and the round the goldfish bowl again....... followed by a stint with his head in the sand.........followed by a sabbatical in the jungle lolololololololol!!!!!!!!! Then.........return to the goldfish bowl again.....and again......and again.
Lolller, it doesn't matter how many times you say it..........your arguments are vacuous, plain stupid, factually incorrect and demonstrably wrong. All your fumbling mates here have vacated the battle field beaten by facts, common sense and evidence. No one is backing you pal.
For your own sake look forward to 2019 and hope things improve pal. 2018 has been a shocker!!! If it makes you feel better continue with your delusion......just don't do it here. Anyone new seeing the posts on this thread would keel over laughing and never come back.
Rest up, keep well and look forward to the future!!!!!!

Just to highlight what a totally moronic biased tool you are I will once again ask why
Do you discount the hrs argument ( that is your default fallback position)...& it's only yours ..when it's applied to which code got the more valuable media deal .
MEDIA DEAL.
If we go by raw numbers ..AFL
If we go by which is most valuable per hour NRL
Yet
On TV RATINGS
If we go on raw numbers ...NRL( yet you can't accept raw numbers )
If we apply your fucked up theory ..apparently it's AFL .
So which is it .
Raw numbers
Or hrs....
Or does your cult like thinking not allow you to concede any win to RL
So let's hear your hypocritical reply
We will laugh once again as you make a fool of yourself trying to explain why raw numbers matter when it's a win to the AFL
Yet they don't matter when it's a win to RL .

I totally agree the NRL got more per content hour. However, there are reasons for this:
- Syndey and Brisbane are 2 of the 3 most expensive advertising markets in the country
- Ch9 have a huge influence over the NRL's draw
- Ch9 insist on a twighlight GF
- SOO is included in you deal which is shown in prime time in isolation
- Fox get 5 exclusive games per round
- Every game is shown in isolation which maximises viewers for each
The AFL's deal is less valuable per hour because:
- The AFL insist they control their draw
- All but one game per round is shown against another game, cannibalising viewers from each game
- The AFL have resisted evening GFs for less $$
- Almost all games are simulcast on Fox and C7 to at least 1 market
- Only around 1/3rd of the AFLs games are in prime time reducing ratings
- The AFL dont have rep games to increase value
The AFL hasnt sold it's soul to TV like the NRL. They have accepted less money to keep games fan friendly

fishbowl fishbowl fishbowl
We got the bigger media deal despite having control of our own draw.
We also beat the NRL in ratings almost every time there's a match v match, a sure sign which comp has the biggest audience.
