We lose far more by overlapping games. We lose by having 3 hours per game
Yesterday I I watched 6 hours of AFL I would be counted as watching 2 games. An NRL watching the same amount of time is counted as watching 50% more games

Geez Xman that would because you only watched 2 games so it is 2 games counted. If you watched 3 games of NRL that would be 3 games counted, how simple is that.
Just because an AFL game goes for 1 hour longer doesn't and shouldn't effect the way the ratings are counted. A game is a game is a game. Mate, you should give this site away. You would argue black is white and right is left if it meant manufacturing a better position for AFL.
Why don't you just sign off with the perception that AFL is king and let sensible people here comment.

Just how desperate for success are you? you've had to resort to flat out lying now have you?
AFL matches 198 matches.
RL matches 192 + 3 Origin matches + 2 tests = 197matches.
AFL FTA matches = 88matches
RL FTA matches = 72 + 3 Origin matches + 2 Tests = 77matches.
AFL about 500 hours or 300thousand minutes
RL about 210 hours or 126thousand minutes.
But But But
How many of those 88 FTA matches are shown nationally? How many of the NRLs are?
Theres your answer right there

FTA
Melbourne - 4 matches a round
Adelaide - 4 sometimes 5 matches a round
Perth - 4 sometimes 5 matches a round
Sydney - 4 sometimes 5 matches a round
Brisbane - 4 sometimes 5 matches a round
That's Right, There's your answer right there
But But But
Agree. 4 FTA games per weekend, 1 is delayed into Melbourne which offsets the 5 matches into smaller states.
Combine that with a maximum of 6 watchable STV games and the total ratings need to be divided by a far lower figure than 9 games per round
The but, but excuses are just oozing out of you today Xman. Adelaide are not a minor market! there complete audience can watch 5 matches (none of your but but overlapping bullshit excuses either) Your other main markets can watch 4. And next round Perth's entire audience can watch 5, but but but but, meanwhile the NRL's entire audience can watch just 3mathes.But But But But But But But But But But how many million ahead are we? But But But But But But But But But But But But But But But But But But But ButBut But But But But But But But But But But But But But But But But But But But But But But But But But But But But But

Youre full of it. According to Wookies table Adelaide havent had a single round of 5 games this year, and Perth have only had 2 out of 10 rounds, one being the opeining game and the other ANZAC day, so its far from routine. So your claim about these states getting 5 games is horse shit

You've said nothing other than what I said XMan,
These figures come from the AFL's Broadcast guide, as of the current round.
AFL
Vic : 44 matches
Adel : 45 matches
Perth 46 matches.
NRL
Syd 35matches
Qld 35 matches
1 Test match
1 origin
= AFL 44 matches, Rugby League 37 matches. Difference: Rugby League by 6 or 7 million. but but but .

Your claim that Adelaide and Perth 'sometimes' get 5 matches is BS. They 'rarely' get 5 matches and their markets are smaller than Melbourne when combined anyway.
This ignores the fact that the AFLs 4th FTA match is delayed on Saturday arvo which rates far less than our other FTA games.
Your claims also disregard the fact only 10 of our games have been shown in isolation while ALL of yours have.
So as I said, our FTA total should be divided by 4 and our Fox totals divided by 6

less than 600k (metro and Fox) before regionals. But but but SOO
Regionals were 333k for the main channel, we will pick up another 10 on Gem, another 20k on Sky= 960k.
You wont do much better than that and your showing your top of the table team and were showing Canberra. A couple days after Origin got 4m Wow.
And Sundays doesn't get any better for you. 3 AFL matches out rated by 2 NRL Matches

what's new.

We should do what the NRL and Nine did for friday night NRL matches by combining match figures for games shown live at the same time so we can inflate our friday night ratings...and then bitch when people point it out on a per match figure.
It was no benefit to the NRL. The ratings didn't change. It was purely a Channel 9 thing. And by the way what do you mean, 'you should do it' ? your lot does it every Sunday and twice on Saturday.
Were talking about our total figure , not cherry picking over one match. And were certainly not the ones doing the bitching and moaning, making ridiculous but but excuses , we leave that to the runners up.

I don't know what Nine used to do I'm only going off the figures you give Wookie. And I only point out that this bloke Xman turns them inside out and upside down to mark up the AFL.

LOL we had Nth, a poorly supported Melbourne team, vs Richmond, a team having another shocking year. The game was played in Tasmania and was over at 1/4 time
Face it, youve lost just about every single FN comparison. You again got smashed in the fox comparison too

and you go to enormous lengths to ignore every point.
Fact is the ONLY AFL game shown nationally on FTA TV per round smashed all the NRLs home and away FTA games, and often by a large margin.
The game averages are what you keep referring back to, yet anyone who knows how the AFLs games are scheduled realises 8 of the AFLs 9 FTA games per round arent even shown nationally. So averaging these games is plain pointless

Opening game about 1.3m AFL 1104 You've won them all
R3 over 1million AFL 930k
R4 about 1170 AFL 1025
R8 Finished about the same
Rep round we wiped the floor with you. And. Origin

You wont even get close.

Geez pal, You are the most one sided AFL man I have ever heard or seen anywhere. No one else anywhere could run your arguments and keep backing up when you are so obviously and factually false in your statements. Good luck mate.
