You posted that without SOO we struggle in comparison .
No we don't .

FMD you've got the intelligence of a preschooler.
The AFL have 9 games per round but no fan can watch more than 6 of them. Therefore for the purposes of ratings they may as well have 6 games only. Furthermore, Saturday has 15 hours of games which no fan would or even could watch in its entirety. Where as the NRL shows 2, 4, 6, and 4 hours of games over 4 days, which is easily viewed by every fan.
This is why the AFL rates far lower on average on Saturday but regularly beats the NRL on head to head games.
Why else did they win every head to head final? Coincidence?

100% correct. This dill learnt nothing during his sabbatical in the jungle. I have this strange feeling I will be searching for my fishbowl pic very, very soon.
fishbowl, fishbowl, fishbowl is exactly why I left. No engagement in the discussion at all, just fingers in your ears and eyes shut tight.

Oh dear .
You were shown to be wrong .
All we get is the same but but but bullshit .
Here are the facts .
NRL without SOO had more viewers than the AFL .
You can rant all you like about hrs ..overlapping games or whatever .
For the 100th time .
It makes no difference ..you have more games televised
More FTA games .
More teams .
& you have the home ratings of those 18 teams
We have the home ratings of 15 teams .
We also have a 6-8 week period where SOO affects the teams ratings due to missing players
Yet we still win
That cancels out any bullshit excuse you come up with .

More cumulative ratings, not more viewers

you're a moron. Imagine if the NRL had all 8 games shown at the same time. Do you think they would still rate an average of 250k on Fox or 700k on FTA? What effect do you think it would have on your ratings? How many games could viewers actually watch?
Before we address the rest of you post at least get this part right or there' no point in continuing

You make excuses for the AFL while ignoring the negatives of the nrl .
You are so one eyed/ brainwashed/ stupid that you just can't accept when RL wins .
As I said any negatives of broadcasts of AFL are matched by the negatives of the NRL .
I'll wait for the but but but bullshit .
Back to the jungle or the mental ward .

FMD you're an idiot.
Here, answer this then. If the NRL played and telecast 2 games at the same time would they get more or less viewers per game than if they played them one after another.
Is that simple enough for you?

the NRL's positives far outway the AFL's. Nothing can overcome the disadvantage of playing 2 games at the same time for average viewers per game.
Positives for the NRL:
The NRL spread their 16 hours of telecast over 4 days making it easy for fans to watch every game
The NRL avoid concurrent games
The NRL play every homeland game on the main channel
The NRL play either the Broncos or another Qld side in most of their primetime FTA games
15 of the NRL's sides are in the same timezone making primetime scheduling easy
Negatives for the NRL:
1 team is in NZ with ratings not included
AFL's positives:
The AFL target home teams on FTA
The AFLs smaller markets have an extra FTA game, although this is shown on 7mate and sometimes on delay
AFL's negatives:
27 hours of content over 3 days, 15 of which is on a single day, making it impractical for fans to watch every game
Most games are shown against another game, basically halving the average viewers per game
The AFL is played in markets from 3 different time zones making prime time scheduling difficult for every market
The AFL show games to their biggest market on 7mate due to an overlap with the evening news
How you think the above is equitable is beyond me

I'm one of the only AFL fans left, and when I departed briefly you clowns complained there was no one to argue with.
Now I'm back you dont want to argue.
What do you want? An AFL fan to agree with everything you say?

OK, since you guys are so simple, imagine this:
The NRL decide to move one of the Saturday games to Thursday night at 7.30pm to target home markets with 2 games.
Let's say a single game on Thursday between the Broncos and Sharks rates around 950k (250 fox, 700 Ch9)
With 2 targeted games they decide to show Storm v Roosters to Vic, NSW, SA, and WA, and Broncos v Sharks to QLD.
- Storm v Roosters would rate say 50k in Melb, 20k for WA, SA, 300k for Sydney, 200k regionals, and 140k on Fox = 710k
- Broncos v sharks would rate say 200k in Brisbane and 100k in regional QLD, plus 130k Fox = 430k
TOTAL audience = 1140k
Ratings per game = 570k
So you ratings per game have dropped from 950k to 570k despite targeting home markets

I point out the negatives of the nrl broadcast .. of course in your warped little world ..you dismiss that.
Well that's just an opinion .
My opinion is the negatives cancel each other out .
& we win ...comfortably
