·National average audience: 3.951 Million (5 City: 2.708 Million / Regional: 1.243 Million) - includes viewers on 9Gem in Perth.
Add in NZ and its well over 4.1m for game 1 which i think is a record for game 1.

Perth figure is impressing shown in SD on GEM at 6:20pm kick off.
with the swans avg 40k on FTA over 10 rounds = 400k
GWS avg 20k on FTA = 600k
either way you put it..
more Melbourne viewers have watched one game of SOO than Sydney has watched the swans

the gap means nothing when you have a longer season, more games per season, and more games per round. On a game v game basis you consistently get spanked in ratings, and mutilated for everything else

Gee Xman most of what you say is just plain wrong. By Wookie's figures the NRL is about 10 mill in front this year despite playing 13 fewer games. And the average per game is way ahead of AFL. Now that I think of it you are actually wrong on every point.

Just how desperate for success are you? you've had to resort to flat out lying now have you?
AFL matches 198 matches.
RL matches 192 + 3 Origin matches + 2 tests = 197matches.
AFL FTA matches = 88matches
RL FTA matches = 72 + 3 Origin matches + 2 Tests = 77matches.
AFL about 500 hours or 300thousand minutes
RL about 210 hours or 126thousand minutes.
But But But

we've discussed this before and you just ignore it. The AFL dont have 9 watchable games per weekend, only 6 at most, while the NRL have 8. So divide that by the total and see who is ahead

How many of those 88 FTA matches are shown nationally? How many of the NRLs are?
Theres your answer right there

AFL 198 matches, Nab challenge 26 matches, 9 finals games = 233 games at 3 hours a pop.
Product to sell 700hours
NRL 192 matches, 3 SOO, 1 Test, Allstar game, (Auckland Nines 16 hours), 1 Charity shield, 9 Finals games = 207 games at 2hours a pop.
Product to sell 430 hours.
AFL 414m a year TV Deal / 700hours = 591k for every hour of play.
NRL 390m a year TV Deal / 430hours = 906k for every hour of play.
