How can you AFL wankers not understand!

Its more dodgy AFL lies! Its a sellout but 10k-15k less than capacity.

And yes I can see how you guys are using the defintions to try and back up you overly bias opinion.

In the same way 80% of our NRL games this year have been sellout then. Our suburban grounds hold 20k-25k and we have nearly always been within 10k of capacity.

We should just put the sellout sign up to!! Dodgy AFL at it again!!

You idiot, it's the grounds that say it's a sell out initially, not the AFL.

One of the problems with season ticketed memberships and stadium memberships is that there will always be no shows. There will only ever be capacity sell outs when the event is completely ticketed.

If the nRL ever grew to be as big as the AFL and had memberships above 50,000 for teams like Can'terbury, if they sold out ANZ Stadium they would probably get a crowd of 70-75k and not 83k.

Many people become members to feel apart of the club even if they may not be able to make every game. nRL fans will won't understand as their league is still a suburban comp, a bit like the VFL was in the 70's and 80's.

wtf? This is one of the dumbest non-raiderdave things i've read on this forum. Do you honestly believe that the AFL hates money? They bloody LOVE money. If they could make money selling more tickets to a game they would. A sellout means every seat has been paid for. For the MCG, a 100k seat stadium, a sellout can have 85,000 people show up. I remember ANZAC game a few years ago trying to buy tickets, but I couldn't, because it was 'SOLD OUT', yet the crowd was below 90,000. That means that a combination of club members, AFL members, MCC members and ticket purchasers didn't show up and use the tickets that they've rightly paid for.

Getting 'within 10k of capacity' is only a sellout if all available tickets are sold. Getting within 10k in a 25k seat suburban ground is only 60% full. If you can buy tickets at the gate, it's not a sellout. How is this so hard for throwballers to understand lol.

There are 8000+ seats which are medallion and AFL reserve members seats. These are less then half full to most games and these people can go to any game they like at Etihad for a monthly fee. The rest of the stadium is about 48K mostly filled with members with maybe 85% of them turning up to games. I know some members who only turn up when they think their team has a good chance of winning.

So 4000 medallion and AFL reserve members dont turn up to games on average as wel at 15% of 48K which is 7200 people for a total of 11,200 people who dont show to a sell out.

Thats 44,000 for a sell out. Can be a bit less or a bit more depending on how hyped the game is.

No way the VFL could get a sellout in Sydney Stewie, it's all lies. Must be all expats

Canberra is league heartland too, no way the VFL would ever beat the Raiders in crowds, wait a minute................

I like hearing Raiderdave speak about things he just doesn't understand, if there are 8k medallion seats - you can't roll up and purchase a ticket for these seats, even if you go thru tickertek you can't bur these seats-they are for people who have ALREADY purchased the seat for the year! They might have no interest in the game which is otherwise sold out. So again sold out MEANS that there are NO seats to purchase for that match. You backdoor dim wits obviously can't understand the simplest of concepts.......NRL handball *******!

Hey Raiderdave Swans got 31k at SCG, which is reduced capacity of 34k http://m.heraldsun.com.au/sport/the-186 ... 6236208559. I guess if what he says is trues and 33% of Swans fans live in melb and their current membership total is 33k that means only 20+k tonight are Swans fans, that must mean 10k new fans have come to watch the Swans! Great going Swans! Raiderdave is the biggest muppet in the world!

I can't wait to see how Dave spins the 5th biggest club crowd in Sydney for 2013 as a 'disappointment.'

a 13.4% increase on the same fixture last year.

I'm assuming he'll accuse the SCC trust of fudging on behalf of the AFL lol.
