Another AFL game well over 1m. When was the last home and away NRL game that rated over 1m?
well down on the 3.2m we got the other week.

Lol we aren't a one trick pony .
We had a game 6 days ago that rated about 3 times your game .
That's what happens when you don't rely on just one thing .

SEVEN’S AFL: FRIDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL Channel 7 540,000 23,000 297,000 20,000 95,000 105,000

FRIDAY NIGHT NRL LIVE Channel 9 388,000 216,000 40,000 117,000 6,000 9,000

NRL was 3rd v 6th, AFL was 6th v 14th.

How can people here honestly claim the NRL is more popular on TV?

I don't answer questions that are narrowly defined by your narrow insular view.

I just post facts . Read my previous post .

Ummmm.......because at the end of the year there will be about 10M more people who have watched RL than AFL & that will be with less games played. Very simple. No smoke & mirrors. The numbers don't lie.

So when someone asks what was the most popular sport on TV in 2018 the reply will be RL by about 10M viewers. A silly fumbler like you will say no no no no no even though they got more viewers AFL is actually more popular. People will then laugh & the caravan will move on.

Yep less games ....less teams .
& one of our teams home viewers are not counted because they live in another country .

How many less would the AFL have if say the west cokeEagles ratings from WA were not counted .
Lol

That's our reality & we still win .

We have the most even club completion in this country, and probably most other . Like a straight line , rarely deviating. Unlike the AFL .Who do have higher club games but also have 30% of clubs not competitive. And any shortfall in our higher rating matches is made up in our representative matches. We don't rely on just club football like you , Rugby League has more strings to its bow then just the one.

Haha, out come the ferrals shaking their fists.

If RL was more popular on TV it wouldn't get repeatedly beaten by quite some margin on direct comparisons week after week.

It doesn't ? In fact this year, even at club level it ratings have bettered the AFL's most weeks. You've have'nt just heard that from me and others here, but from many highly educated people. What wrong with you? does it just go in 1 ear and out the other . Do you think there all just making this stuff up? WHY do you think the NRL has on the front of its Website that RUGBY LEAGUE IS THE MOST POPULAR SPORT IN AUSTRALIA?????????????????????????

I used to joke about brainwashed fumblefans .

Sadly it's not a joke .
I've tried to explain it in different scenarios but it just doesn't sink in .

How can one person be so stupid
I'll try another scenario .

It'd be like two bakeries side by side
One only sells bread
The other also sells bread .
But also sells gourmet pies, sausage rolls & pastries that are huge sellers .
End of year the pie bakery has sold about the same as the other in bread sales .
It also sold heaps of pies etc which made that bakery far more profitable .
Yet the owner of the bread only bakery says his is more profitable because comparisons should only be made on bread sales .
& only made on certain days .

Lol
I know which bakery lol would buy if they were both up for sale .

It's like dealing with dumb, dumber and dumbest on here. You clowns have had it spelt out to you repeatedly, yet amnesia sets in and it's back to square 1 again.

1. The AFL and NRL do NOT have comparable scheduling over their seasons, so a direct comparison of cumulative season ratings is pointless.
2. Even a direct comparison of both seasons favours the AFL because our game is 50% longer, therefore more watched by a large margin.
3. The AFL's typical round has a lower average per game compared to the NRL. This is due to concurrent scheduling which split the audience and halves the average. The AFL's bye rounds has every game shown in isolation, and magically, the AFL average FAR more per game than the NRL.
4. The only direct comparison between comps is 1 game v 1 game. On average the AFL wins this comparison the vast majority of times. This is why I asked when was the last HOME and AWAY NRL game that rated over 1m. The AFL achieve this regularly, the NRL rarely.

None of you clowns can answer any of these points, all you do is hide behind "fishbowl", "SOO", "cumulative ratings" arguments which are either diversions or completely flawed.
