Unfortunately for you Parra, you had to meet the storm after a loss. Teams general don't fare too well in that situation. Particularly this year.

true point,
its funny i actually dont think Storm actually played that well..
they handled the conditions alot better. and i think there defense was quite solid.
But there were a few lucky trys in there..
Parra looked defeated when it started raining on the saturday
def effected there style of play..

NRL considers in-house production for next TV rights deal
The NRL will consider bringing broadcast production of its matches in-house for the next television rights deal to maximise revenue in a move that would have huge ramifications for its traditional media partners.
The existing deal with Foxtel and Nine Entertainment Co – the publishers of the Herald – doesn’t expire until the end of the 2022 season. However, the governing body is already planning for the next rights negotiations to ensure all options are considered in a rapidly changing media landscape.
The NRL extracted $2 billion from Nine, Foxtel and Telstra to provide coverage of the game over a five-year period, a figure 70 per cent higher than the previous deal. However, changes in technology and viewing habits could result in the value flatlining or even decreasing when the rights are next up for grabs.
Rugby league has long gone with a two-partner model of a free-to-air and subscription provider, with Fox and Nine paying top dollar for a property that has been a sure-fire ratings winner. However, the emergence of streaming service Kayo and a shift to fans consuming sport on mobile devices has further fragmented the market.
The NRL will give its current broadcast partners every opportunity to retain the rights before exploring alternate options. However, according to sources with knowledge of the approaching negotiations, the NRL could produce the broadcast content itself and then look to sell off the properties to interested parties if it isn't satisfied with the price broadcasters are willing to pay.

Very interesting. This has been talked about the last couple of broadcast deals. If nothing else it's another bargaining tool to jack the price up.
I'm hoping at least 2 FTA channels get games along with Foxtel. I can't see Facebook or Google or Netflix getting involved but you never know as it's still a few years away. However no matter what anyone has said it is proven that FTA gets the biggest numbers watching and that's what the game wants.

how much money can be made from the events being bought by other cities to host.
We currently have
WORLD CUP England 25 million Pound.
WORLD CUP nines ?? WESTERN SYDNEY

SOO >> recently in Perth was reported around approx 8 million
All Stars ??
Magic Round ?? currently in BRISBANE
with the biggest till date >>>
The English Government forking out for 2021 World Cup
The English RFL received U.K. government support - £15 million to enhance the tournament and up to a further £10 million into the game's infrastructure - for the event to be staged in the country.
25 Million Pound in total.
which is 48 million Aus dollar

At least we have a tournament of a shortened version of our game
At least we have cities chasing it .
How's the shortened AFL game going .
Oh wait on
It got canned .
Wasn't zooper enough .
Not enough circus freaks to promote it .
Our 9s are going fine
Can't say the same for AFLexcretment
