How do you know people were turning off after half time? I didn't - was on my phone more as I watched but kept it on. And in Brisbane - they are watching their team win through to the end.azif wrote: Mon Sep 30, 2024 11:58 ampeople were turning off after half time when it became obvious the pea hearted fleas from Sydney were at it again ... just like 2022leeroy*NRL* wrote: Mon Sep 30, 2024 10:36 amgood numbers..
Predicted 4million Solid (also thought BRISBANE AND SYDNEY would be close to 500k each..
Everyone is forgetting the power of BVOD Channel 9 and NRL have been pumping out HUGE numbers
even the Great WOOKIE after the smashing thought numbers would be 3.2mill.
I think being a day time game and having NSW AND QLD (Tv's stayed on no matter what happened.)
The Uniqueness of the Grand Final might not happen for another 100 years.
for me and like many the Game was a HUGE DUD.
if the game Like Origin Which finishes after 10pm you have seen people turning off in big numbers.
but
we have an extra 1 million viewer's on average for this game![]()

Re: AFL & NRL Footy TV Ratings - 2024
I think most were expecting a ratings spike given the added spike from both Brisbane and Sydney - non traditional markets - which draws an extra audience than say two Melbourne teams who were going to watch no matter who was playing. It’s not rocket science.

Re: AFL & NRL Footy TV Ratings - 2024
any ratings spike was well & truly put to bed by the pathetic contest when 2/3 of the game was rubbishFred wrote: Tue Oct 01, 2024 5:27 pmI think most were expecting a ratings spike given the added spike from both Brisbane and Sydney - non traditional markets - which draws an extra audience than say two Melbourne teams who were going to watch no matter who was playing. even sookie said he expected it would have a significant adverse affect on the figures
then the fairy tale writers got involved .... no wonder the ratings didn't come out til 7.30pm
