both codes tun total different fixtures & scheduling to its games. multiple games running simultaneously, early afternoon starts. the nrlol basicaly bases its game around prime time tv

its been proven again all year similar time slots of the games the AFL windsdown

the 3 soo rep games are state vs state dribble that reflects people just want to see their state vs another state as 80% of soo fans loose interest in league as soon as the game is over

the AFL vs NRLOL grand final one is played in a ratings dead zone and the other one is played in the prime time of all tv slots.

there has been talk of next years grand final being an evening grand final, so no doubt similar time slots to the NRLOL GF the results will go the same way as everything else with the AFL flogging the NRLOL

The tv stats are a funny thing and hard to work out. I think the easiest comparison is when a game is on at similar time and no other games. For hime and away season the AFL seem to dominate but rl do have the juggernaut of soo although that is not part of home and away but something AFL would love. Seems AFL has killed friday night football and this finals series. Who knows next year. Gf will be a ripper.

If AFL and nrl could sit down and work out a schedule so games do not compete it would be a win win for all. Last night watching the AFL then turning to the nrl was gold.
