Swans and the AFL are fifth behind NRL, Aleague, Cricket and Union in Sydney.

Sydney fc rate double the Swans in sydney...
wasnt it a prelim final for the A league and a home and away game for Sydney?

Compare the non heartland markets. AFL in Sydney on a Saturday afternoon vs NRL in Melbourne on a Saturday night, prime time.

Leaguies all quiet now and no comment. :(/ :(/ :(/

the figures for Tv Rights for the both of the codes are pretty close.

What you gotta ask yourself

is how does the NRL even get close (when there is MAX 4 adverts in a whole half of FTA

that is why the networks love the AFL (advertising) and there is plenty of opportunities in AFL

easy.
c9 and fox control the NRLOL scheduled
SOO makes up for 10% of the whole broadcast deal
SOO & the othr internationals are included in the NRLOL broadcast deal
it has more games in prime time to maximize ratings

AFL has full complete control it its fixture & broadcast deal is only for its H&A season, finals & preseason practice games

GEE WIZ

1. NRL takes back control of scheduling in NEW DEAL>>>>
2. so what Is SOO makes up 10% of tv deal..
3. Internationals are not included >>> keep thinking that (cough world cup just recently signed to ch7
four nations in England also different..

more games in prime time..
1. AFL has Thursday night and Friday night and Saturday night
2. NRL has no more Monday night football (trialling 2 Friday night games)
also 2 extra teams... and 1 hour longer.. :)))
