Well then maybe you can show us if they play RL in those Euro countries I named that do play AFL at present. No one else can!
Dave, this site's TV ratings show a clear win to the AFL! Unless you include SOO, which would be a fudge of the highest order as I think Topper has already pointed out!

No need. Raiderdave and Parra have provided ample evidence and its not about whether one sport has a novice league set up in a remote corner of uzbekhistan. Its about which sport has more support and recognintion internationally.. RL kicks AFL Butt internationally. Kicks butt. Just lines up the AFL butt and kicks it. If I was anti league I guess I'd be pissed off too at this clearcut buttkickin thats goin on o/s. Recognition must be the first step nswafl etal.

AFL ?
we're talking about if the RLWC had a simialr amount of interest to the RWC's here in Aust
the AFL had their nads handed to them on a platter as has been proven 150 times by RL in 2011
RL is the Country's Numb 1 TV sport
here endith the lesson

they really do struggle with this harsh reality E
that their silly little sport is a mouse breaking wind ... against RL's a force 5 hurricane
they can't fathom why foreigners haven't embraced the wearing of singlets & much fumbling & missing
but I can't understand why
half of their own country haven't either

... why should anyone else

Yeah its hard to understand why they cant see the truth also. Perhaps its just because the RL gives the AR such a severe butt kickin internationally? This is crystal clear, RL just walzes on up, see's AR bending over wearing short shorts in some remote village oval and just kicks it in the butt. Just kicks in the butt from paris to england, scotland to newzealand, papua new guinea to fiji. All over the world RL just kicks AR butt. Its crystal clear NSWAFL. Lets keep this thread on topic and not go into things like SOO or small expat AR leagues, the international cup you's brought up was fair to raise but in comparison to the RL world cup?

Lets look at the reality, open our eyes and all together just acknowledge that on planet earth RL gives the AFL...a real hefty... butt kickin.

Together now.

Numbers are in the favour of AFL, you two. We play in more countries, which means we have a wider presence. You can't prove otherwise, so you'd better accept that we are kicking rugby league rear internationally and it's only going to get worse as the standard inevitably improves. We already have recruits in the AFL itself from countries that you lot can only dream of. Sudan for a start!

numbers do nothing of the sort
you can't prove they do
AR is a whimsical slap n tickle fest outside of Australias sunny shores , no one takes it seriously .. as half of Australia doesn't either
no one ever will ... as half of Australia never will either
RL is a serious sport in many countries with over a century of history with a true international flavour .... the 2013 World Cup will be a highlight
90,000 will attend the final at Wembley & millions more will watch on TV
If 9 people watch your next singletfest championships final ... & the local flogball club can find someone to film it on the hand held camcorder
you'll be doing well.

You talking to somebody who doesn't accept ABS or DFat or a host of other organisation's statement's as correct.
The best they can ever do is say "I don't believe you" and start on the abuse cycle to cover their track.

You don't accept the big picture on AR participation overseas.
You doesn't accept ABS or DFat or a host of other organisation's statement's as correct.
You cannot get past that.
Why should I bother with a single event.
You've put a figure on the attendance - now prove it or we'll do what you do and demand we win the thread.

Raider I think you're being a bit generous making statements like half of Australia dont care for AFL. This is suggesting over 10million in this country care about the sport. I dont think thats true, wouldnt be for league either. But I guess you're just being objective.
On the flip side Cos and NSWAFL you're right, Raiderdave's figure on attendances at international AFL matches (10) is wrong and cant be proven by him. As someone who has first hand experience at an international match (player

) I can provide proof of a crowd figure. I recall atleast 17 and a max of 27 odd at the game when I played against Paris. A few Dutch people were in the crowd, perhaps half, so NSWAFL is right, Raider doesnt clearly estimate the kind of "exposure" AR is getting overseas....but struth, he's damn close I tells ya!

My whole point is that they are playing, King. Dave refuses to get that, and he figures that amateur games don't count. That's an anti-expansion attitude. Even rugby league has an amateur level. Every sport has an amateur level, otherwise how would the game grow? To be pro from the get go is a BS exercise just waiting to explode quicker than the Greek economy.
AFL is playing in more countries than rugby league. I have already provided countries in Europe that play AFL and don't play rugby league and I am yet to be contradicted on what remains on that list.
