No use sugar coating it the Average - Highest - most wont change.

The NRL's Finals

F1 = 2.13
F2 = 1.92

SF1 = 1.51
SF 2 = 1.48

Q1 = 1.45
Q2 = 1.24
Q3 = 1.35
Q4 = 1.26
And the only ones the NRL were ahead of the AFL were the PFs which, as has already been explained, were against no other sport on TV. The AFL will also likely win the GF.

SO how exactly are you suggesting the NRL are ahead? :drunk:

The NRL club competition makes up about 75% of the NRL where as the AFL club competition makes up 100% of the AFL.

The NRL falls under the ARL. As does the NRL rep players that make up the other 25% ,the part you wish like hell you didnt have to recognise.
Which means
1 NRL Origin 2
2 NRL Origin 1
3/4 (AFL or NRL GF)
5. NRL Origin 3
6.NRL Final
7/8. NRL final = AFL Anzacv Day)
9 AFL Final
10 NRL test

NRL = 7
AFL = 3

The NRL is governed by the ARL, but because the initials ARL and AFL are too confussing it is easier to continue to to use NRL here. Rep players are NRL players.

PS. Do not post again without having taken your meds.

Fred only a very very desperate or stupid person (or both) would take any satisfaction from the fact that the The total AFL (all 100%) out rates an organisation that devotes about 75% of its effort to club football.

i understand why you feel you have to include SOO as NRL. without it your NRL comp is lightyears behind the AFL. even with it your well behind in all but ratings of a few games

The inclusion of South Sydney and Canterbury has ensured that next Sunday night's grand final will be the biggest premiership decider in NRL history.

With the Rabbitohs not having qualified for a grand final since 1971, interest in the match was already set to be at fever pitch. But the inclusion of two of the game's biggest-supported Sydney clubs has NRL officials predicting record television ratings and merchandise sales.

All tickets for the grand final at ANZ Stadium are expected to be sold by Tuesday morning. Television ratings during the finals suggest that the premiership decider will be the most watched in history and will guarantee rugby league has four of the top five most-watched programs in Australia[once again this year.

With last Saturday's AFL grand final falling below Origin I and II in television ratings, league already has three of the top four most-watched shows. The NRL decider is expected to draw a similar number of viewers to the 2.813 million audience which watched Hawthorn beat Sydney.

"You look at the combinations that have played over the years and I think the combinations of these two teams, their histories and their supporter bases, are the right mix for what will be the biggest grand final week we have seen," NRL head of commercial Paul Kind said.

"In terms of public interest, what you will see by no later than lunchtime Tuesday is that we are at an absolute full house where every ticket is allocated, with a high level of interest behind that.

"You will see a huge TV audience watching two traditional teams and you will see strong interest across the country in those two teams, because they have got long histories and high-profile players.

"In terms of merchandise, I think it will be the most successful grand final we will ever see in terms of the sale of club supporter gear. Then you put the whole digital media on top of that and you have just got something that is going to be big by any measure, and certainly the biggest team match-up that we have seen since the establishment of the NRL."

Both clubs are operating pop-up merchandise stores, and there were long queues at Belmore on Sunday for Bulldogs grand final T-shirts, while Friday night's Souths-Roosters preliminary final was the most watched rugby league match besides Origin or a grand final after drawing a television audience of 1.195m, including 835,000 in Sydney.

Canterbury's 18-12 defeat of Penrith was watched by 1.06m television viewers and a crowd of 46,186 – the biggest for a match between the two clubs.

In total, more than 12 million viewers have already tuned in to the eight finals games played so far and crowds up by 18 per cent on last year's play-off series.

The involvement of the Burgess brothers, Sam, George, Thomas and Luke, with the Rabbitohs and fellow Englishman James Graham in the Bulldogs side, will also guarantee unprecedented global interest in the grand final.

the AFL's extra 1.25 FTA matches is worth the ratings equivelant of the NRL's 5 pay TV matches , meaning a meaningless bullshit category that gives a meaningless bullshit average. FTA and PTV need to be kept separate and when they are the NRL win them both. And thats just club level. when the NRL rep football is factored in it is not even close.

Regionals for all should be available today. Note - - that last years NRL Grand Final didnt rate in Tas or Regional WA.

Didn't rate? There was no ratings available?

If we use the average for NRL GF regionals

2.44m (Syd 1.13m Mel 475k Bri 584k Ade 111k Per 144k)
NZ: NRL: 184,070 (9:35pm – 11:30pm)

Regionals 1.3m

3.924m

It is looking like the NRL has top ratings positions 1,2,3,5,6,8 for 2014..... =D> =D> =D>
