This is quickly becoming very embarrassing for him. The more he is in denial, the more he's embarrassing himself. But I guess for someone like Dave who doesn't have one ounce of dignity left, it doesn't matter to him.

What a boring game it was, and 8k for a 1 off game in Canberra is terribly bad.

Not sure why youre claiming 8k when it was pretty darn full

Yet look at the raiders game. A stadium essentially empty yet somehow we are told it was half full

But the fact youre heading down the fudge defence shows what a skirt you are too

Even a little success for either side will help as well. The giants crowd was definitely far bigger than previous ventures to Canberra and no doubt this was the result of improved performance, even if it didnt translate to the days result.

Todd Balym @toddbalym , and Andrew Hamilton @andrewhammo72 say "it's a good thing rugby league attendances are not officially audited, because Out of Bounds have been told significant fudging of figures has occured in Sydney. Our spies.....for the Canturbury and Souths on Good Friday was well short of the reported figure. Stadium and NRL claim 51,686 were at ANZ but the real figure was 45,062"

Update

Great round for NRL and with Anzac day next week, will see the NRL ave about 19k overall for 2013 which is a massive gain on 2012.

DT Journos needs to learn to do some research before making outrages claims that NRL crowds are down.........

Really?

A Sell out at Perth.

43k at Etihad, which given access one restrictions is about capacity

19k for the lowly demons against an interstate side. Nice

The other 3 games are in Hobart, Canberra and Goldcoast which are all outside AFL heartland

Today we will have 42k at Etihad, 70k at the MCG and 44k at Adelaide.

So all up about 280k. Want to compare?

Well 280k compared to 360+ for round 1 and 2.......... :-k :-k :-k

Yes a terrible round that brings you idiots back down to earth once again.

NRL will end up with 170k+ which is near a record round so yeah when you make comparisons NRL has had a better round in the scheme of things.

That's what an expanding competition does, they play games in just about every city, despite the negative impact on crowds. They did the same last year but this year they are well ahead =D>

As for 170k....oh dear

Andrew Hamilton is a complete tosser. You should see the dribble he writes in the Courier Mail. He copies straight from the AFL propaganda book.

Fancy an AFL writer disputing another codes crowd numbers...
"The Victorian game may be the best game of football, but if it is so manifestly superior, one would fancy it could plead its own cause, and not require advertising like a quack pill."
