That's just your AFL activism speaking Sooks. The actual experts in the broadcast industry (of which you are not) recognise average as the rolled gold standard for TV ratings. They've been using it for decades and will continue to do so.
obsession terry, its back again.
You know this. The experts know it. Every sensible person knows it. Only AFL activists and propagandists like yourself argue for reach. You know its right but your bias will never let you admit it.
Id didnt actually argue for Reach. I presented both sides of the argument. Look to your own prejudices.

I mean theres a difference of interpretation of the data.

as far as average audienccs go, NRL fans have at it.,
as far as reach audience and most watched, AFL dudes have a point. reach indicates more people watch for a period of time, however small that may be - this is also true on Fox from the data we know.
Hey Wookie, not sure if you saw my previous post in this thread about footy related programs across free to air and pay tv?

Am curious if you have ever looked into this and have any data or analysis?

Thu N #NRL has an aggregate audience of 7.694m on Nine for the season at an average of 641,000 viewers per match. (BVOD 96k, Reach 1.435m). This is up 7.7% YoY

Thu N #AFL was the lowest rating Thursday game of the season. and well below the average of 601,000 for the season. (down 4.4% YoY). It should be noted that the AFL didnt play Thu N games last year between June 3 and the Finals on Sept 5. Data: VOZ, last night not consolidated.

Well, well, well, as sure as day follows night and night follows day the 'ol fair weather beatup comes good with posting a small win to the fumbling game on Friday FTA lololooolololol. Thanks beatup, never change pal loololol!!!

And of course the reality is once all Fox numbers are added this will be another win to RL. In fact I would go as far to say that if Fox numbers were available for the full season the fumbling mess would be struggling to win even one head to head. You know its right.

Now cue outrage, activism, propaganda, BS and lies from our dear fumbling friends lololololol!!!!!!!!!!!
