Wrong, their football club revenue is 35m and their football club budget is 28m. This is half Collingwoods, and less than many AFL clubs by some margin.

A copy of the Broncos' annual report has been circulated amongst the clubs showing the club's turnover of a staggering $34 million and more than $28 million spent on the football team.

simple question
its either ... no I don't ( so that would indicate i have interpreted the fox story incorrectly .. like I do many many stories :-k )
or
yes i do.... ( indicating I'm a complete F.uckwit )

as with the Raiders ... thats only one half of the business d head
the Broncos RLFC PTY LTD ... has turnover of 70M

the equal of any VFL club in the land
& posted profits in excess of 4 Million dollars in 2012 .... a portion of which will be added to their 14 Million dollars in cash that they have in the bank .. the most of any football team in Aust
they have ova 40M in assets ... including their Leagues club & everything in it

they are the wealthiest football club In Australia
bar none

So the broncos leagues club earns 35m. How much do they make in profit? how much goes directly to the club as revenue?

less then the football operation I understand .... 2.5M to 1.5M after tax
and it ALL goes into one bucket the one that contains ova 14 Million ATM

they are a publicly listed company & are on the stock exchange ... so if they make a profit .. shareholders receive a dividend
News Ltd holds 51% of shares

very wealthy club ... in fact ... Australias wealthiest.

thats the point. The leagues club earns 35m but has costs of 33m. This leaves the broncos football club with a yearly income of a mere 34m with little benefit from the leagues club.

That's the important figure! How much money they get to spend on their football club, their players, facilities, coaches, medical staff, support staff etc....

This is where the AFL clubs kick butt with football club budgets double or more NRL clubs.

thats pretty abysmal

If the Broncos are aiming for 30,000 members for this season they'd wanna get a wriggle on.
8 weeks to go to the start of the season & they need to double their present tally

Are they doing those one gamer memberships for the cowboys game again ?

I know they picked up about 5,000 new members for it in 2012

Go back to the start of the thread mate. You were boasting about the Broncos easily getting more than last years tally and to 30k members. Now this doesn't look like happening you're in denial

The nRL isn't as strong as you think it is Dave.

:
the football club has costs of 32.5 Million & revenue of 35 Million
the leagues club has costs of 33.5 Million & revenue of 35 Million
the broncos ended up with 4 Million dollars .. profit .... after tax
they pay shareholders a small dividend from this ... the rest is theirs to spend on what eva they want

they have posted profits year after year after year

thats why they were able to build a leagues club
thats why they were able to build a training facility

& even after investing tens of millions in facilities they still have more cash then any football club in this nation
this is why
they are the wealthiest football club in Australia.
