Looks like the 'ol gavver round has landed like a damp squib in the fumbling world. The NRL has had its usual FTA ratings win for a Thusday night. Poor little 'ol Adelaide just don't have the same aura as Las Vegas it seems. For the life of me I can't think why lolololol.

Thursday 9 April:
NRL: 699k
AFL: 667k.

Well, well, well. Congratulations to the Australian Fumbling League for having a rare victory over Australia's most watched sport last night. Don't happen often so I'm not surprised beatup is cockahoop, yahooing and high fiving like the champion pom pom waving fanboy he is. Enjoy pal.

For context here is the head to head so far in 2026. And yep its a massive win to the NRL.

And here's something from our favourite gaslighter. The one and only sookie. Highlighting the dominance of the NRL over AFL on FTA on Friday nights this year. Well done sooks. Proud of ya son lololololol!!!!!!!!! And remember folks once Fox/kayo is added the gap is even bigger. In fact massive!!!!

The AFL has moved to explain Friday's double-headers. The view is broadcast figures don't change significantly for non-Vic games, but local attendance is maximised by playing in marquee slots. Of the double-headers, 7/10 will be played outside of Victoria.

Wow, a rare win for the fumbling game on FTA. Of course once Fox/Kayo comes in it will be another win to Australia's greatest game. And here's the tally for the year thus far:

NRL 12
AFL 4
