That's my thinking anyway looking from the outside. I'm sure there are people who follow the team linked to the club. For instance, I just joined the Musgrave Bowls club - as they have cheap meals and beer. Also a member of southport sharks - but don't follow the sharks - have some good bars and new Kactus Bar does a great Guacamole dip.
In saying all that - membership numbers are rubbery as hell for AFL and NRL teams - 3 game memberships- 1 game membership - full year membership should be all that is counted.
