Also - you have to remember there will be a new stadium - for the AFL (and cricket) - if it is to be at Mount Gravatt as you expect - what would be the cost of that? There is also another venue being floated on the river as a public private arrangement - that might be even better - and would satisfy the supposed need to have opening and closing ceremonies on the river. so we need to be careful citing figures and make sure we are quoting the right ones okay.

Now that is clear -

For the extra money I do like to Arcadis proposal - a good legacy to be left behind - will be unlikely though to get up

But the 3.4 billion stadium design - could be a goer.

The stadium and precinct - which I think is a better idea, is what is budgeted for 6 billion.

I see how you may got them mixed - easy mistake.

And yes, projects rarely come in as budgeted. The Stadium will be end up costing a lot more - so will the 6million budgeted precinct - probably 10 billion for that.

If Mt Gravatt is selected I would be truely amazed - but stranger things have happened. Does seem least likely - to the point I don't even think its in contention - but hey - we will wait and see.
