Wasn't completely full but near on. Article said it was a sellout. Maybe true as close to capacity

Yet with 21500 crowd that is still the biggest crowd so far this weekend with West Tigers v Sths, Manly v Penrith and Easts v Storm falling well short!!!! Nice try NRLwelaughatoursmallPenisesNRL&NFLweLaughATafl wrote:There is no way that was a sellout. Saw the the sports preview and there were lots of empty seats.
And all we heard all week was this game will sellout and tickets are hard to get lol =D> =D>
More of AFL believing their own hype as usual.
I know all the rules. And I don't mean when they release the ball in a tackle I mean when they drop it when marking or trying to pick it up off the ground or receiving a hand pass. It's particularly messy when the ball is on the ground and it's just continual fumbles.Xman wrote:you clearly dont understand the rules which dont allow a player to simply hold the ball while tackled.Darren wrote:From what I saw the crowd was good. The game though was the usual AFL offering, a lot of fumbles and mistakes punctuated by the odd break out of actual play. I really think they should play with a soccer ball like they do in the Irish international games. The players just can't seem to control the oval ball.
And, if the AFL version of Channel Nine's Footy Show is to be believed, a few players have recently tried a more interesting way to get themselves 'up' before a game.
While the panel of players on the show -- Collingwood's Nathan Buckley, Hawthorn's Peter Everitt and Richmond's Nathan Brown -- danced around and said they hadn't witnessed such a pre-game routine, host Eddie McGuire suggested that half an hour before the first bounce, players at a few clubs were masturbating, but stopping just before ejaculation.
They apparently believed it was a natural way of stimulating the level of testosterone -- the hormone artificial steroids are based on -- which is known to raise aggressive and competitive tendencies.
Peter Larkins, a sports physician who gave his expert opinion on the program, at first thought it was a joke, but was assured it was a true story.
Oh FFS why don't you dredge up something from at least last year rather than something from 2010 - since then we've had Beau Ryan being racist, Todd Carney doing the bubbler, Mitchel Pearce dry humping a dog, Joel Monaghan rooting a dog and Josh Reynolds weighing his opponents testicals while he was feeding a scrum!! Your an idiot!ParraEelsNRL wrote:The only people caught with their balls are the AFL lot.
dead link now but from a few years ago, we had a good old chuckle at LU.

Luckily some rugby league forums copy and pasted it huh?

Looking at the way GWS is going they will def be in the Top 8
looks like my prediction before season started is 90% right.
All of the teams are in there except Fremantle Dockers.. and GWS taking there place..
if Crows can lock in a top 4 spot, watch them March to a G.F
Bronx - please don't make the GFSwans4ever wrote:From memory your pretty close - what did you pick for NRL?leeroy*NRL* wrote:Swans4ever wrote:Yet with 21500 crowd that is still the biggest crowd so far this weekend with West Tigers v Sths, Manly v Penrith and Easts v Storm falling well short!!!! Yeah dropping the ball constantly and getting a point for missing and having goals with no crossbar makes for amazing skill yeah. =D> =D>Xman wrote:its messy because, unlike RL, players who are caught with the ball are penalised. Therefore the ball get tossed around under pressure until someone can get clear space. One reason no other country likes AFL.
