Yep with 5 games compared to the AFL 9 and no finals games the NRL still has the majority of the large rating games
The 'undesirable' #NRL timeslots FoxSport MAY receive exclusive under new TV deal avg 180k in 2015, AFL STV avg 179k.
The NRL still ave more with undesirable time slots.
With all 8 games simulcasts they will pay a bucket load for 5 years.
yes because many of the AFL games are similar cast on FTA as well! many of the AFL games are played in the early and late afternoons as well where as the NRLOL games are not!
attempt to come up with every scenario and excuse you can! the AFL will get more than the NRLOL in the board cast rights & will continue to.
its simple eat shit & move on the NRLOL is second & AFL will only continue to grow bigger at a much faster rate
So the AFL show 9 games per week and have 30% of the top 100 shows
The NRL show 5 games a week and have 50% of the top 100.
Also the NRL Dregs rate larger (180k ave) then the entire AFL ave on Fox (179k).
Yeahnah NRL smashes AFL to pieces on Pay and Rupert knows it.
Get ready to pay up old man...
lol NRLOL's undesirable time slots of prime time as opposed to the AFL's early afternoons, similar cast on FTA as well
give me a fucken break idiot
is that all 1 k difference
so the NRLOL games are not similar cast on FTA, played in the evenings & late afternoons for ratings. the AFL games are similar cast with FTA & played in early after noons
your claiming vistory
Rupert owned a part of the NRLOL and lost hundreds of millions

his original investment in the NRLOL was to have a pissing contest with Packer
all he has done with the AFL is brought the rights to the broadcast, the AFL is in charge of its own product!
keep eating those pickles the gap between the two codes will only widen with the NRLOL continue to be the distant second

It amazes me that NRL followers just can't admit that the AFL has beaten the NRL to the top figure (yet again), no amount of twist and hoping will change this fact might as well just suck it up boys and hope to get another 800 mil in your deal (making total package 1.7bil). Which I seriously doubt now as Foxtel holds the whip hand!

We have not finalised our deal .

You are not right in the head .
Only deal finalised is the FTA component .& the AFLOL got beaten soundly there .
Go back to pretend soldier land .
Reality is too hard for you .

Same blokes that were in raptures with him the week before - whatever way the wind blows.
Hes a good digger from all accounts.
It would seem you people are hoping against hope.
there hast been a pay tv contract yet that hasn't eclipse the FTA portion of the deel and its not about to start now, when the product there selling is 20% more popular than anything else on PTV and on top of that they got top rating non league shows.
So when the miserable old bastard comes to his senses and pays us what were worth it will be

yet again.

FTA is in front, the last 20 years has seen the NRL behind AFL each and every time, not this time. We still have all the other stuff to sell and that's not including the screwing more $$$$ out of News for expansion clubs.
We got 100 million alone from NZ last time and they tried to play hard ball back then against the NRL and the NRL warned them it would go up next time, this is the next time.
No first and last rights and all that, work it out.
