I suppose as a RL supporter youre not used to fans travelling interstate
Because we have jobs and don't travel as often,

As for you AFL fans, you guys have all the time in the world. They should build centrelink booths outside your footy stadium, to make picking up your weekly cheques more convenient. The queue would be as longer then the snack bar.

On FTA its about 50-80k usually, plus foxtel. So in reality it approaches 100k. Not sure this is anything to laugh at. The NRL's 9.30pm game in Brisbane got less than 100k on Friday night, and RL is supposed to be heartland in QLD

Nope like that..
The away team out numbered the home team
lol

There is a point why the AFL scheduled the hawks / bombers / pies tigers against gws at home.
They provide the fans

What youre saying is 7k Hawks fans travelled to Sydney. What does that say about a Raiders game with 8k yesterday?

the giants are a brand new team in an expansion market in a city that already has a succesful AFL side. They also never had a season where they have finished higher than the bottom 2 on the ladder. its hardly surprising they had Satuday arvo ratings this low.

1 afternoon game doesnt equal their average. Prime-time against a decent opposition would result in far higher ratings

whether you want to believe it or not the Giants crowd far larger than any theyve been getting vs big Melbourne teams just like the Hawks. This wasnt because there were extra Hawkes fans
