& guess what .. the NRL game had all those same factors working against it too ... but its gaining on the VFL's big day ... quickly

the Roosters also are ranked about 6th **** the NRL's 9 sides in Sydney
the VFL's combatants are arguably the 2 biggest

if the NRL had put the eels & dogs on Anzac day 13 years ago
the tv ratings would be right up their with the fumbles n derpies
Except the figures say trhe NRL lost figures too. Again - how can you be so stupid as to try to clain any kind of victory here. The crowd was less than half. The ratings were almost as bad. You got smashed - and the AFL could even drop 300,000. End of fucking story.

Fast gaining my ass.
The NRL didnt lose figures there ratings where up slightly despite cyclone conditions , power outages and a 30m delay in the middle - Your were way, way down - smashed :_<> :_<> :_<>

well the only difference for the NRL was played on a Saturday and the postponed match, which explains why their ratings were off. Very dissapointing actually. Barely scraped 700k.

The explanation for the AFLs soft ratings were played on a Saturday, played **** 4 other games instead of on its own, and a pretty ordinary game.

:(/ :_<>
Like we didnt have 4 other games too you absolute moron :_<>

Every but but but excuse you are making for the pathetic ratings for the vfl
Also apply to the NRL
& theres the added excuse of the suspending of play for the NRL game

Our ratings were slightly down
The arse fell out of the VFLs :_<>
you may well have, but I was explaining the difference between this years and last years games since thats the part youre focusing on. You also seem to be ignoring our game almost doubled yours in ratings and well over double in crowds. :>::

Than, for the NRL its extra matches being played , cyclone , power out, 30m break in play - ratings still up :thumbleft:

your but but excuses :(/ :_<> :(/

when? Doesnt make sense. Viewers cant watch two programs at once so when the ratings are counted those watching foxtel are not counted as watching FTA, so the resultant audience is the same
The vfl got a rise in veiwership when it went simulcast
It allowed it to scrape.. just barely ... above the NRL
Still miles behind RL as a sport though
Like I said ... some people will not watch FTA coverage of football despite it being available to them
n choose the pay coverage instead
The NRL will benefit from the same in 2018
& how
The AFL went to live telecasts beginning at 7.30pm, that was the reason for the increase, not simulcasting.

You havent explained your theory why simulcasting gives more viewers. All it really does is displace the existing viewers into two mediums
More bs,

Your ratings were broken up into segment - just like last year.

Tv ratings ? :-k
Wanna bet u dribbling ****** ?
Sure, I'll take the bet. No NRL game will outrate or outdraw the AFL's ANZAC day game between the Pies and Dons. What are we betting for?

we have represetative football dickhead - get over it

Its why my game make the big bucks - its why your game is slowly bleeding to death - So the big question is which NRL team will you support? the Storm?

How anyone thinks a 20% decrease in rating is something to boast about should be in a looney bin
So what if you have representative football? it barely makes up for the shortfalls in the rest of your game.

Your fucking boasting about us losing like you gained something out of it when yours lost a comparable amount in the ratings? and had shit crowds?

Our game is bleeding to death, when revenue wise it FAR outstrips your pissant code. If it wasnt for pokies your NRL clubs would be as irrelevant as fucking aleague clubs on the sporting landscape of the country. The AFL pulls in more than 500 million, your code just over 300 million - You arent even in the same fucking financial ballpark.

No need to leave yourself out of the fucking loony bin crew.
If we didnt have rep football we'd have our focus on club football and smash you at that too(though probably not by as much)

The THREAD is Simple.

the AFL won on the Day..
by a Big margin.

but the Postponed Anzac game at the NRL (so did not help the Tv Audience) and that is a fact.
Delay a game 27mins in AT any game and see what happens.

when it rains at the cricket (look what happens to the Tv Ratings (they slip Big time)

End Of.

Why would anyone need to make excuses When despite, cyclonic conditions, 30m lightning interuption and power blackouts, still got better ratings than last Anzac day. If ratings plummeted like a lead weight down a mine shaft, as the AFL's did then you would need excuses .

that was the year before. The NRL also split their counting for their telecasts. Where was their increase in ratings?

The NRL probably did split the segments. But the AFL deffinately did both years. So that is just another BS excuse, A big slide like that must be embarrassing.
Last Years Final - Well down, Last years Grand Final - well down, Now your best rating club game is well down. :_<> :_<> :_<> Its time you cut out your BS excuses and faced reality.

As far as our ratings go, last year ANZAC was on a Friday. You must be looking at the figures from the night game. The Anzac day game attracted 451k .down slightly on this years number!
