Holy shit. 47k bother to watch the so called local Derby on TV. It's true aflsforpussies, it's kinda like you either go to the game or don't give two shits. But it's important to know that the scg matches draw a large number of token crowd. I.e there's thiusands who rock up to one game a year in sydney due to the novelty factor. They don't give a shit about the game, nor do they understand or want to actually understand about it. They're there because they have nothing else to do on a given weekend.

Sydney has 5 million people and Ive seen many people friends, family, random citizens of foreign countries etc etc etc do the token one game a year and never go back. I've seen these people at the games, not really watching, don't know the rules, don't know the players names not the ladder position etc etc etc. so I'd predict at swans matches about 25% are actually not interested not know about the sport at all.

So we gotta take that off the numbers of those who are fans in sydney.

Thanks :)

I heard about it from beaussie but apart from that? It was quiet all week long. There was very little promo of this game. I think the media realise it's not really a story and to say otherwise would be fake. Gws eh? They really shoulda been honest rather than make up their location and story. [-X [-X [-X

It's gonna be a tough tough road for them for a long long time now. Not that they really ever had much of a chance but they really duffed it bad didn't they!
