NRL games are worth $1275 per minute
AFLs are worth $1170 per minute
So TV networks are paying more to NRL for less game time than they do for AFL.
Yes
Rugby league is the most valuable sporting commodity on Australian TV
250 million a year for 600 hrs of VFL
230 million a year for 400 hrs of NRL
Wow
Just wow
more per minute LOL
More per minute, but less per year. Go figure. I'm also surprised that RD is admitting that RLs deal is less.

our code is reaching unstoppable levels ATM .. we've come from the clouds
& smart folk always said we would
the Super league war is the only reason we didn't do it a lot sooner
we just need to be smart now with our new found wealth
& not piss it up against the wall like the VFL has on useless expansion teams that will never work no matter how much money you throw at them

the NRL is dropping in both crowds and ratings, so I agree, it is reaching unstoppable (receding) levels.

crowds increased last year you filthy lying tosser
& will hit records in 2015
& even allowing for a slight drop in TV ratings & the fact you have 207 /208 games shown on 2 forms of coverage while the NRL is only ever on one form ...& with a lot of people now watching their NRL on apps not TV
you lot still couldn't beat us !!..LOL ha ha ha ha
wot happens when we add 2 more games .... don't split our Friday nites.... & also simulcast all of our games
I'd estimate
we'll outrate the VFL by 30 Million
2 billion here we come baby

But you can make your predictions, just like you did about the NRL getting to 20k crowd average by 2017. But we know that just aint going to happen dont we

The_Wookie wrote:The AFL broadcast deal also encompasses its FInals, Preseason, International Rules, Under 18s and Under 16s national championships. Not just the H&A season.
i meant the the normal the normal AFL premiership season,
the under 18s & 16s, & preseason stuff won't add much value to the overall broadcast rights, specially when you compare it to the NRLOL's SOO, 4 nations & international stuff.
if will be interesting if the VFL adds any value to the Broadcast deal, with it not going to be screened on commercial TV not the ABC this season
