yep, Sydney has dining, arts, sporting events, venues etc etc. Just Melbourne is better in every single area.

Oh and as far as racism goes, I cant remember the last time a full on racial riot broke out in Melbourne like what happened in Cronulla

id rather live in melbourne than in sydney, coming from someone thats lived in sydney for about 95% of my life

just too expensive and the roads are shit. if you dont work then maybe its not so much of an issue but if ya got bills to pay and have to travel then it becomes very tedious

not to say i dont like being from sydney....we're all proud of where we're from. its just that there are much better places around that i would love to live in.

interesting though...most of the people defending sydney aren't even from sydney(dave is from dole haven, queenbeayen and parra is from wollongong ffs)

Silly comment. The inner city is different to outser eastern and northern suburbs which are bushy. Then there's the suburbs by the bay. Some are newer, more modern, others with houses from the early 1900's. Some suburbs are hilly with views, others flat. The climate is also fantastic, 6 months is perfect, 3 months cold for winter sports, 3 months warm for summer sports.

Theres a good reason Melbourne is the worlds most livable city year after year.
