Sydney is a city of 5 million+ people,l and two teams may well prove to be one too many in the long run. Canberra isnt.
Doesn't matter. The AFL don't look at whether or not it's an AFL city. They look at pure numbers. They'll move in on Canberra. Startrack Oval is a good venue. If it wasn't for the fact that there isn't (AFAIK) a good venue in Newcastle they'd target that city as well. I'm not saying it's right. I'm saying that's what they'll do.
oh dear lord

I think that is ample to cope with an AFL club and Startrack Oval is not far from ready to host one. It just needs a few thousand more in capacity.
AFLs own former Ceo even said if AFL expands again it will most likely be QLD, Tassie or WA. That get new teams.
Never mentioned Canberra once.

You were the dickhead who compared a crowd from 2013
To one from 1994
And anyway .. with our biggest games we match the crowds for one off gimmick games sooker puts on Every fucking year you stupid raider
But poor widdle sooker can only dream of the tv audiences we get in this country
Hence we get paid mega bucks to have our sport broadcast
While sooker gets paid chump change

http://www.tvtonight.com.au/2013/07/a-l ... 7mate.html
7mate’s coverage of the Melbourne Victory v Liverpool FC scored a whopping 588,000 viewers and an 8.4% channel share for the night.
The biggest audience was in Melbourne with 262,000 viewers then Sydney with 158,000

Can I just point out, that if you go thru all the records of the RL clubs in England that are say, at least 60-70 year old, I would bet 9 out of 10 have played in front of a bigger crowd than Liverpool ever had outside the MCG match, only about 15 RL clubs in England would've beat that MCG attendance, maybe it's only 10 times and some teams appeared more than once, but you get the picture..
Hehe.
Heck, even the lowly Les Catalans Dragons from France where RL has been strangled to death have played in front of 87,000 people.
