104,100 for Rugby League

AFL has over twice as many adults playing as Rugby League LOL

the Australian government collects all forms of data through the ABS, to collect statistics that aids them in running the country.
meanwhile the NRL has a long history of fudging numbers for extra cash grants from the government

1. Soccer
2.AFL
3 League
4 Union

yet the NRL comes up with 1.8 million play league
1.4 million in 2012
to 1.8 in 2013/14
