Big smantha.
Yep you are a fool. NFL has a presence in the UK AFL could only dream of.Foolproof wrote:A London team in the NFL?? It's not April 1 you know! That's up there with the LA Crocodiles!
Yes it has been there, but not had any reasonable media coverage until the Melbourne storm arrived.The_Wookie wrote:Rugby League has been around in victoria on and off since the 1920s. The Storm is not the be all and end all of Rugby league in victoria.
Not going to happen due to the expense of team travel in both directions and the associated expenses. That's why I called it an April Fool's joke. For it to be viable I think it would need a membership in excess of 100,000 and a guaranteed crowd for every home game in similar numbers. Even Wembley doesn't hold that many and I think it may be the biggest venue in the UK.AFLsforPussies wrote:Yep you are a fool. London NFL side possible in 2022.

I would not be so quick to rule it out completely.Foolproof wrote:Not going to happen due to the expense of team travel in both directions and the associated expenses. Swans4ever wrote:Well I don't know if this growth is as big as they say my son registered for RL and the side he was going to play for folded - with an age group that incorporates both u15 & 16 they couldn't get enough to play - yet he is one of those 3300 odd and has not played 1 min. So before you go on about birchgrove perhaps you should all consider if this is going on in every code!
I don't believe that's enough to cover the transport costs for visiting teams going to the UK, and the UK team going to the US. That's expensive over a season.AFLsforPussies wrote:I would not be so quick to rule it out completely.Foolproof wrote:Not going to happen due to the expense of team travel in both directions and the associated expenses.
