Another AFL premature ejaculation

I imagine you would be feeling a little embarrassed there LIC. NRL crowds down by less than 7k over the entire year. This when considering the NRL final round was being hit with pissing down rain all weekend in Sydney & raining for the Titans game today after a good drop of rain yesterday as well.

Before you get too excited about this being an excuse, don't forgot Beaussie's excuses for the Swans crowd numbers after he also blew his load early. According to Beaussie, No rain = increase in Sydney crowds, which I do agree with. However, this has never been accepted by you lot previously, until the Swans crowd was rubbish of cause. :)))

Not bad seeing 6 or more Thursday night games and others taken to smaller areas like Darwin and bathurst.

Parra got 9 or 10k in Darwin vs Canberra, that game would have at least got 15k and probably would have sold out had it been played at Parra (like it was supposed to be) simply because Ricky Stuart done the dirty on the eels. there's your 7k right there.

First and last rounds with pissing down rain will do me. We have always been told that is not an excuse. Now that Beaussie is using it, I will let the AFL team argue that point with Beaussie. I agree with Beaussie on this one, the rain affects crowds, plan and simple, it impacted NRL round 1 + 26 by 63k from last year to this year.

Well done Adump, =D> great topic dumbarse

So crowds were overall down. But let's say they were about the same as last year. Given that there has been a deliberate plan to grow try and grow crowds, and given they are at pretty low levels on average, the nrl would have to be concerned. In all seriousness, given they were so low in2013 you would have to have thought the only way was up re crowds . The fact they actually went down is not good.

I really dont believe they would be that concerned with the numbers this year. This is nrl's long term plan, not only this years plan. I would agree that they may have some concerns that their strategies they put in place to grow the attendance did not get the ball rolling this year. However, as i mentioned above, based on the rain factor which beaussie has supported, this impacted our round 1 & 26 by well over 60k, which would have ment a small but modest growth.

:blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah:
with all the who noise the messiah david smith has made about needing to lift crowds, discount tickets, free wifi & public transport to and from games with tickets

bad weather is no excuse for a crap turn out at a game simply because over the the winters and weather in general are much harsh in melbourne and Adeliade than Sydney and Qld

so at the end of the day the NRL crowds are down again :thumbleft:
